Towe to NC State staff?posted: Friday, May 5, 2006 | Feedback Once again, New Orleans head coach Monte Towe is faced with another grueling decision. Should he leave as head coach of the Privateers and join Sidney Lowe's staff at their alma mater, NC State, or stay and continue to resurrect the UNO program in the post-Katrina mess? Lowe, an assistant with the Detroit Pistons, will be named as Herb Sendek's replacement at a Saturday news conference in Raleigh. Towe told ESPN.com Friday that Lowe has asked him to join the staff. He said there are contractual issues, such as a buyout, that are being discussed between NC State athletic director Lee Fowler and UNO athletic director Jim Miller. One option to avoid the financial burden of a buyout is to promise that the Wolfpack would play a road game or two at UNO. Towe has three years remaining on his deal
