From the ad to coaches, my problem is that our athletic dept personnel can change things without earning the right (ie. dodge & white helmets, direction on helmet [North Texas]etc.). So, we change things to help our fans mental state without really changing anything. At least some on this board can ralley at all these nonevents (ie.like the basketball practice facility- how long -10 years-has rv known that our bb teams at times had to practice in the vb gym since they couldn't get a court anywhere on campus and then he waits until the capital campaign comes along & he has to come up with projects (super pit changes etc.)& goals via Lane! (By the way Ken told me about sharing HIS gym with bb kram)

Doesn't matter. The university has not tried to be relivant to any of us. Our qb from the Corkey Nelson time, Rick Shaw, has become a die-hard aggie fan. He told me the same thing that" if they waNTed us why didn't they come & be a part of our life".We used to have bb games with utsa down here. They would give us the upper section a couple of hours prior to the game for a get together. There were over 50+ some time that showed up early! Others came during the game. You know how good our promotions are.

No one has looked at $$$ in this discussion. It seems simple to me you look at the money potential coming to UNT. Central Texas has a lot of well established alumni that have not been sought out to give or even miminal support by our school.It was our market that would be the second only to the dfw & Houston area in our direction. Have you ever seen a UNT presence in these areas? So nothing happened to get "NEW BLOOD" into our program for a dozen years now. Bringing in TX St & utsa would give us a athletic presence into an area of Central Texas where we have ex's & students & their families. I'm only wondering if the school will follow? But, reading the above, do we really need any more fans or money?

The heros here always throw out that rv is doing a great job. In talking to two coaches (ie.that would answer the question about what they think of rv) They said that "he's too comfortable in his job".They were not smiling either. Look at the stands in the major sports (bb & fb), look at the lack of coverage this weekend for our girls bb tournment in NM, look at the way major donors left the program (one did not even give the 1 mil that you guys said came into the program), lack of promo's for games, etc. O, ever been on the ath. adm. side of the house, there are 2 people in every room now & falling over each other with little or no results.That's were your & my money is going rather than promotions or advertising. Did you ever think of "What does his dept. do from March to July anyway?" Why do most people here just see roses without the thorns. Absolute no accountability in the ad office { ie. think about all the quotes about rv worry's about the crowd for our Tuesday ESPN game at 8PM- if he was on top of things why would he worry}.
