I want to go to look around the area. I've been to IU when NT played in a BB tournament up there in the past- not much there. So, in looking at those two games Alabama looks like a more fun time.

Then adding antidepressant's to the beer at BB games and you would have 1/2 million yearly at least into the athletic department. Thank God we don't have baseball so we can take the "summer of discontent" off and not compound mental issues!

Oldguystudent is right. I felt his dad had feelings that Gio was too good to be on a team struggling like we were after talking to him on the deck. My feelings were that the dad pushed him to do what he did when he was here. His dad latter dropped his wife too . Therefore, if things don't go as planned just dump it. So, he just was over the top in his demands and feelings. That's just my thoughts.

Since we are in a conference, and since C standings mean lots to NT fans, I'll take the roadrunners. The reason, say the west is the best side of the conference as it stands in July. We lose a game somewhere in conference by our Thanksgiving date in SA. I would like to go into bowl season with W against this bunch because we are still growing and recruiting against them. The prize is a date in the league championship game. smu means nothing to most NT fans other than you guys that rely on the damn paper for your sports. Beating UT would mean that we had found a QB. We all would love that! By the way, UNT has more hits in the central TX sports pages that smu!

UTEP football "refried isn't just for beans". I guess they aren't asking for suggestions, right.

We all wish they could be at all our road games. But, at $100 a seat, do you really want them there when the athletic dept. has not come up with the donors to support them being there? Then, we are trying to start BB in 16/17?

When your butt is in the seat watching MEAN GREEN FOOTBALL, you make all the stupid sounds you would like when we don't have the ball. No sound really is wrong during that time. Who knows maybe someone in the club might even utter a yell or two? GMG

Possible big party on Friday, November 28th, at the Westin Riverwalk for the pre-UTSA football game party and river lighting river parade viewing at the same time. The river will be looking great with all the Christmas lights hanging down from the trees for the event. Thanksgiving weekend too! More on this later as I get the OK for things. Question: how many will like to have a party the night prior to the game. They are questioning me about numbers. The room we looked at will have room to seat about 130 or so. We will be on the second floor with all the balconies for viewing the parade/ river. What do you think the attendance will be on that weekend for the game/party? Need a band? Dancing? I have wiggle room on some things being its only March.

Since reading the posts above, it reminds me of what several members' of the SB said about us in a bowl in 2001. I guess they were right! The score proved it.

The team learned and grew throughout the year, still is growing. But, the biggest defining game will be the conference championship game. By the way, I guess I think after all the loses any wins are defining. We were picked to win most of the games above. But,with just conference championship games going on in DEC., we will have a national forum that will make people notice. Therefore in most eyes, that game will be the most defining game of the YEAR. Remember,new conference bringing in sunbelt weaklings. The championship was going to go down to the marshal- ecu maybe rice game. People will take notice of that win nationally while making the biggest defining game to the seniors & most of us and our conference doubters of the weak teams that were coming into the fold. Recruiting- we continue to get more commits as we win. Just dreaming of the Dec players giving us the OK after the two wins in games next month. Press coverage- just think about a sunbelt team ( UNT ) coming into the CUSA & taking all the marbles the first year! What a great story line w/ McCoy, the SR's, team, rebuilding after a hs coach is hired etc. So I am putting my trust in OUR team to win out & push the rock down someones throat in Dec., then on to the bowl!
