I called the ticket office regarding my tickets yesterday. Apparently, they had forgotten to mail them... Good thing I work on campus. If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, try giving them a call!!!

I live appx. 5 miles from the UNT ticket office, and I have still yet to receive my tickets. Do I need to just relax, or should I give a call to the Ticket Office at 8am tommorrow??? Thanks, Peacock

That is odd... UNT does not offer sports management... HR management & Supply-chain management yes, but not sports management.

Back in 1985, UNTCampbell was my "Big Brother", and he took me up to Jonesboro, AR to see UNT play. We ended up getiing kicked out of the Big Brother/Big Sisters because they did not allow overnight trips. Long story short... Everytime ASU scored a TD, they would shoot off fireworks... By halftime, they had run out of fireworks... Final Score, UNT 0 - ASU 56.

Cleaning out the Todd Dodge notebook Leftovers from the North Texas story and former high school coach Todd Dodge: • For the record, Dodge looks like an older version of Kyle Chandler, the coach on Friday Night Lights. • Son Riley is a rising senior quarterback at Southlake (Texas) Carroll who is being recruited heavily by BCS conference schools. • On the team: "We're going to be physical on defense. I haven't talked a whole lot of X's and O's with them. How are we going to treat the lady in the academic center, RAs (resident assistants) in the dorm, how are we going to be perceived in the community? If you can put an exciting brand of football on the field but if you have a team that the fans don't respect, all that falls by the wayside pretty quickly. " • A few of Dodge's 10 game-day expectations: 1) Never underestimate the power of kindness; 2) Kill the will of your opponent; 3) Success can come through short bursts; 4) Visualize the game before you play it; 5) Show class and poise. • More on the team: "I would love to see this football program become one that this metroplex wraps itself around. I would be comfortable with a 5 or 6 win season. As long as we crush SMU on their home field, I will be a happy camper. TD deserves some latitude for his first year here. LEt him get comfortable with the college game, develop his recruiting game and then come back and take the sunbelt in 08.

I would love to hit the road and recruit for the university in this bad boy. It would definetly stir up some interest when pulling into a HS parking lot...

What better way to welcome TD to the Mean Green Nation than by having a loud and rowdy group of GMGers at the Southlake v Allen game. I am in!

Including our 3 trips to the N'Awlins Bowl... I am an admissions recruiter for UNT. As I was recruiting in West Texas a few weeks ago, I spoke with a few prospects that were intertested in Football. At the time I told them we had just canned our HC and that the Southlake Carroll HC had been metinoned as a possibility. Everyone of the kids I talked to knew Todd Dodge by name without prompting. These were kids from 2A schools 400 miles away. TD is not your typical HS coach...
