The administration went the On the Job Training route with Dodge. SMU went with the experienced D1 coach. It will be interesting to see which program can turn itself around faster. I happen to think that being in the Sun Belt NT has a shorter, less steep hill to the top of their conference (with the right coach).

I saw Harrell 'almost" under center ... He stood diretly behind the center but was facing about 45 degrees to his left (not forward) reaching under center. Weirdest thing I've ever seen.

How does Tech get all those students to such an ugly place? I guess some students chose their school by other criteria... Tech wasn't born with a Big 12 "silver spoon" They started in the Border Conf. and petitioned for many years to get admitted to the SWC. They played SWC teams and had a strong following. SMU strongly opposed their membership and it wasn't until thousands of Tech supporters cut up their Neiman-Marcus cards and sent them to Stanley Marcus did they get in. SWC membership and strong legislative support by Tech alumni was a springboard to the B12. Had Hayden Fry stayed at NT and had NT developed a stong following like Tech, NT might be in the B12 now...

I think that it is smart to play that many games at home. NT should do the same. Build fan support, break in a new QB, make some gate monies... Tech will only play home and away series and people arn't lined up to play in Lubbock.... (evidently about 53K+ love the scenic beauty of West Texas!)
