so beating the bottom feeders of the worst conference in FBS, is stellar leadership while getting whipped by a lower tier SEC, getting trucked by UAB, losing to La Tech playing their 3rd string QB, getting trucked by SMU once they woke up. Yeah that is stellar leadership. I understand players playing protection for coach, but come on year 6 $2 million a year should be worth more than 4&5 win seasons and getting throttled in meaningful games. SL will be back next year and it will all play out the same way again.

or calling for HOF for a QB who is 6-12 in a game against a one win team that has given up. All about the garbage time stats for SL and his stellar offense.

wait Liberty played most of games without their starting QB, La Tech was down to their 2nd/3rd string QB would hardly call either of those teams better other than coaching. Mizzou is not very good yet made to look like a Top 10 team. Will give you SMU they are solid, and UAB is decent but were they 42-6 better, no that is on the coaches not getting the team prepared which is a staple of SL time.

to bad this was not a few months back. Central Arkansas would be the perfect fit. Not sure I see UT-Arlington leaving Sun Belt, Ohio Valley would be in trouble if Murray St leaves, having already lost 3 schools to ASUN and WAC/CUSA

last time SL was sitting this close to a bowl game needing a win, did not end well, of course the team snuck in thanks to academics, but was beaten in a rematch. The team went in to play a weak UTEP team and got their asses handed to them, much like what has happened everytime SL coaches a big game.

agree the defense looked much better last night, especially in the penalties area, but that 98 yd drive allowing UTEP to get back in the game was brutal. They need to stay focused the whole game.
