Not speaking for EP directly, but I think his point and many others is not that Hedlund is a bad coach, but at what point do we expect more than just winning conference and being happy to just show up at the NCAA and play defensive ball. For all Hedlund has done and the numerous NCAA Trips his teams have still yet to even score a goal. Why can we not expect more? Win more games in the regular season so the team does not draw a Top 16 seed first round. Expecting more is not a knock on the coaches, but it seems clear a plateau has been reached. Much like SL, great we are going to another bowl game, but how about winning one as well. Same argument was made with DD, he won conference games but no-showed in OOC and 3 of 4 bowl games.

Palileo should have worked hard on making friends with certain donors. Apparently wins is not enough to remain for some coaches.

Scholarship of course should not be taxable, but money add-on outside of the scholarship should be taxed as work wages, just like the real world.

Hope all these players and schools paying these players have good accountants come Tax Season

interesting 50 games over .500 and released, but .500 ball at $2 million gives more time. Was this a firing or just a contract not renewed, much like Benford not being renewed? Few more coaches that probably should not be renewed.

Coach Conque left SFA in shambles upon his firing. Carthel has done phenomenal

last time SL Team was playing for a legit bowl appearance they were curb stomped by a bad UTEP team. SL has a habit of not getting the team up for big games, not sure this coming weekend will be any different against a vastly better opponent.

No SL has shown he is not the coach, but keep defending, it is all good. As for him taking a paycut, will never happen with his ego. Year 6 and he has the same issues present in Year 1, he has not evolved. Tired of the same argument of team is young every year, just like the excuse with WBB, at some point all the injuries and transfer no shows need to be pointed at the HC. The lackluster Asst hires falls on the HC. Does not matter though, SL will be back next year barring a 70 pt loss to UTSA.
