  1. Wow we have had Memphis beat Ole Miss, Troy beat Mizzou, Utah killed A&M. Boise spanked Oregon St, and now Fresno is up 24-14 in 2nd Q against K St.
  2. Many probably saw on the news about the crossover accident on George Bush, but the young lady was a UNT Freshman and unfortunately was living Clark Hall, who have had a rough go since December.
  3. I just started 2009, and in in 2007 and 2008 I was undefeated and #2 or #1 in the Polls and both times in the last week a BCS school jumped over me even though they had a loss. But I got to play in the Rose Bowl both times at least. I now have 4 Top 10 schools scheduled this season and just beat #6 Cal, so we shall see.
  4. I like how Arkansas State is handling their new program, they hired a knowledgable coach and look at winning now with some of their recruits. On the other hand La. Tech is joke, they only added the program for Title IX circumstances and they have a Track Coach running the team and as of Mid-July they had no scholarship bowlers. A JOKE!!! I would rather a school not even offer the program unless they are going to be taking it seriously.
  5. We have a club team. We compete in around 10 tourneys a year + sectionals. Typical schools, TX A&M, WT, UH, TX St. OU, UNM, NMSU, ULL, LSU, Sam Houston.
  6. Ahh seeing you have been borrowing from ole Ricky, being delusional and all.
  7. 290 in Tournament and 279 in League, 737 for 3 Game series.
  8. Sorry need to prop my boys and ladies up. Also if any of you guys go to the Bowling Alleys, they have a Bowling Newspaper that goes out weekly to the Centers in the SW and we have a front page article. http://www.ntdaily.com/vnews/display.v/ART...5/4111cd2c8c122 NT bowling club prepares for fall events Ashley Weaver Daily Reporter August 05, 2004 The Mean Green Bowling Eagles are rolling into the fall semester by hosting an Open Bowling Event at Varsity Bowl in Denton Aug. 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. "This event is open to all prospective NT students looking to bowl," said Jason Lyon, assistant volunteer Coach and former NT Bowling Club president. Lyon said this is not the official tryout, just a way for students interested in bowling to meet club members and coaches. He said the tryouts will probably be held in mid-September. "I enjoy bowling and appreciate that UNT has a bowling club open to all students," Leonard Sydnor, NT Art Junior, said. "I find bowling fun and a great stress reliever," Sydnor said. Sydnor works at Brunswick Bowling Alley in Denton and is interested in joining the club in the fall. "The requirement for being a member of the club is being a student at NT," Lyon said. "For the travel [competitive club] team, we follow eligibility requirements set forth by College Bowling USA. Travel team members must maintain a 2.0 GPA and attend classes full-time." The travel team competes in many tournaments during the year, which costs $200 to $250 per team, Lyon said. The cost is usually covered bowlers, support from Rec Sports and parent donations. "We welcome any and all support from the NT community," Lyon said. "The North Texas Shootout will be run in Denton on October 16-17 at Varsity Bowl in Denton. We expect to have teams from Texas Colleges and possibly as far away as Omaha, Nebraska." The club has grown since its beginning in 2001, Lyon said. The team had 20 members at the end of the spring semester and anticipates 30+ members for the fall. "The travel team portion now has their sites set on national tournament bid, meaning finish Top 16 in the nation," Lyon said. More information on the NT Bowling Club and current schedule of events for fall can be found on their website at http://orgs.unt.edu/unt_bowling.
  9. Positive test for illegal substance in a team administered drug test. From Chris Mortenson on ESPN Radio.
  10. heard it while listening to ESPN Radio. The substance abuse was only a rumor, but you never know anymore
  11. very interesting, although they are mentioning substance abuse as a cause for his release. Will be a curious year in Cowboy year. <_
  12. World Champion Horseshoe Tosser Oh yeah he is one hell of a bowler also Anastasia Myskina
  13. Donovan McNabb because he now has a legit receiver.
  14. I see this as another reason why this kid has constantly stayed in trouble. If he does get in trouble I think Miami should not kick him out of school but rather take football away from him and make him get his degree, that way the good people of Florida do not have to pay for his jail-time.
  15. Miami has decided to let the walking lawsuit into school. Oh well hope he turns it around, but also would be interesting to see it blow-up in there face. Here is the article: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/foot...s.ap/index.html
  16. Anyone who has a PS2 how hard is it to set up the adapter and system for online play? I am thinking about picking up the network adaptor this weekend and try to play some. PM if you have any information. Thanks
  17. How about Denton H.O.A.'s
  18. Well I suck at the game so I always played JV, but bumped upto Varsity last night against UT, and it is tough to run and just plain move the ball against tough defenses. I finally wore down the UT line and moved the ball better late in the game, but the new features and the rocking stadiums makes the game so much fun.
  19. Funny simmed the second season with UNT, and my starting QB (Hall is gone), got suspended for the Full-Season b/c of forging checks, of course right before playing #1 LSU. Went 10-3, lost to Utah St, LSU, and Air Force in Music City Bowl.
  20. Game play is great, beat TX and Colorado, then simmeed the rest, went 10-1, lost to a 10-1 MTSU who went to NO and lost to UAB, I got Sun Bowl invite and lost to Oregon st. (simmed). Negative for PS2 it takes forever to load and save dynasty and removing players. UGHHH!!!! But overall it is great
  21. Pro Bowler is Correct Cerebrus. He was the last Exempt Bowler, when Tommy Delutz had to drop due to wrist surgery. Sorry for the toughie
  22. Women's Bowling only takes 5 scholarships. You would have 8 bowlers max go on a trip. Only 8-10 trips max a year, which many being close. Facilities wise Varsity or some other center would cut a great deal. Hockey probably 7-10 scholarships, plus buy equipment, travel to Upper Midwest and Northeast. Rent ice time which is not cheap at all. Pay coaches who would be hard to find in the south. All in all Hockey would be much more expensive and I am sorry but I doubt many people want to see women play hockey or bowling. So bowling would be much cheaper. CBUSA ran some numbers and a Bowling team can be up and running exclusive of Scholarships for 10,000 a year, while on the high end would be $44,000 a year.
  23. Just picked mine up at Gamestop in Lewisville. Denton should have theirs by now also.
  24. I met Scott back in 00-01 when I weas with Tennis. He is a great guy and will be missed by the staff. To bad he is heading to a conference foe, but wish him the best of luck.
  25. awesome pitching by RR. Just what the Rangers needed for weary bullpen.
