Thanks for the updates hopefully you enjoyed the matches. I do not believe they come back home until the Sat and Sun at the end of Spring Break They head out for the Arkansas 2-Step this coming weekend and then they head to California for 3 matches over Spring Break. Also Centex Eagle, Your daughter's old team is looking good this year.

Do you knw by chance the scores?? I know FIU is very tough, butACU is D2, although ranked Top 15, not a good loss. I guess toss if off as being drained from match #1. ACU does play UNT tough every match though.

They were playing FIU started at 10:30 this morning, ACU scheduled for 2:30 When I left UNT was leading in 2 of 3 Doubles matches

Mean Green Tennis Rolls To Remain Undefeated

Yeah TCU looks amazing, they got the #5 player from Stanford to transfer in plus the #3 girl from D2. There new coach can just flat-out recruit. UNT seems to be getting better but only time will tell. -
Mean Green Tennis Rolls To Remain Undefeated

They got spanked today at TCU 7-0. TCU is #20 in the country. Big Difference between playing JUCO's and D1 schools. Hope they can get back track quickly. -
Saw the girls defeated Texas State 5-2 on Friday. They then beat UTSA 6-1 and NCTC 7-0 on yesterday. Nice jobe ladies. Good luck against Tyler JC Tuesday.

Usually a good mix on a college team would be 5 Americans and 3 Foreign players, with the Foreigners hopefully feeling the Top 4 spots, since 4-6 positions are a dime a dozen.

Dawna has started to improve the team each year she has been here. If she is allowed to recruit more openly it will help, but obviously the new facility will be an eye-catcher. She landed 2 nice recruits in the early-signing period. I believe there is one more scholarship available. Good luck to the ladies, hopefully this year they can get a Top 5 finish in the Sun Belt.

Question
untbowler replied to MadameD's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Thats cool. The Applied Geo course is a bear and so is the Research Course. The Remote Sensing and Computer Cartography course are good also if your into it take the GIS Courses and then Visual Programming course it will help you greatly once in the Job Market again. I hope to be starting a PhD. in the Fall at UT-D so we have somewhat similar backgrounds. Good Luck -
Question
untbowler replied to MadameD's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
The undergrad program is great at UNT, the Applied Geography Masters is also very good in certain areas. Great program for research in the Environmental sciences. Unless things have changed many of your classes will also have some UG in them. Dr. Oppong, Acevedo, Hudak, Lyons, and Williams are all very good professors who know what their doing. Good luck. -
Everybody thinks it is great to have 2 straight Rushing Champions but outside of Colorado, JT ran against great against only Sun Belt Competition, then in the Bowl Game USM exposed the offense for what it is 1-Dimensional, there are receivers but they are never allowed to get loose b/c it is so run first and when the run gets stuffed then our offense is clueless and this reflects on the OC and HC. Same thing for PC he ran great against Sun Belt Competition, and was a holding call and trip away from a huge game in NO. Ramon needs to start looking good in OOC games, of course that depends on if DD gives him the thumbs up or not.
-
Does anybody actually believe that Ramon is ready for a HC position or even an OC at an upper Conference School. I think he would be best suited taking a D-II or small I-AA and work from there. His playcalling this past year was *ahem* not Great. Plus would he have any clue on how to coach the defense, yes he can obviously help recruit, but nothing sticks out and he could not even make the finalists list at the Tennessee State job.

The ladies did go to the NIT I believe 2 or 3 seasons ago and proceeded to get blasted by a .500 Washington team by 30 points.

North Texas vs. Tenn-Chattanooga Game Thread
untbowler replied to Smokey's topic in Mean Green Basketball
This loss can be considered a bad loss b/c UT-C was ranked below us in RPI, similar to TCU, we have our chance to prove something and we blow it, who knows why lack of practice or what but it sounds like the offense was very out of synch. The really must win the next game because I do not believe either team was in the Top 150, UT-C was around 72. -
Cowboys in the Red Zone
untbowler replied to UNTFan23's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Whats worse is that the Cowboys 2 draft picks just got worse as they and the Bills won, and now god forbid Turnover Testaverde has secured the start for next week and next year -
Their women are just as good as the men, I think they are 8-2 with the losses to Top 25 Teams. As far as our Women, when will the AD begin to expect more from the Women's side of the Athletics Department. B-Ball has been down 3 years now, Tennis never placed higher than 7th in conference, V-Ball very bad this year, Soccer and Track have been great, Softball still in infancy.

Parcells sticking with Vinny
untbowler replied to SUMG's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Making matters worse Jones told WFAA.com that Turnover Testaverde is being seriously looked at as the starter for next season How can he be serious. http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/dws/wfaa...e.35673e26.html -
Parcells sticking with Vinny
untbowler replied to SUMG's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Parcells is off his rocker and visibly sounded like it when he got grilled on why Turnover Testaverde is starting once again in a meaningless game. He said Romo might play but mainly wanted him to watch and see what goes on. HELLO!!!!! What the hell have the back-ups been doing all fricking year!! They have been watching a fossil play like a rookie, yet refuses to take any blame and is untouchable b/c he is Parcells child. The worst part was Sunday when Bill called out the defense after they only gave up 12 points to Philly, while his son throws his own teammates under the bus. -
I think he broke his hand last week and DMN said out 6-8 weeks.
-
I saw Justin Barnett is out though for 6-8 weeks, how bad will that affect the team??

COWBOYS WIN!!
untbowler replied to green_goblin's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
The refs blew the KJ TD catch he was out of bounds, but yes Vinny sucks and the 2 INT's nearly blew it for the Cowboys but more than likely Big Bill will praise Vinny for leading his team back, rather than praising Julius.
