Actually the guys have no coach so what they are doing is awesome. We have not had a coach for the last 3 years. Yeah I wish they could have added some lanes to the new Rec Center, be like UT-Arlington, UH, UT, etc... If they had a coach to keep them in line they would be even better, but very proud of them.

The bowlers finished 18th out of 50 teams over the Holidays. Were 12th going into last three ghames then dropped 3 spots in last games. Looking at stats 23 pins seperated the guys from making the finals of the Tournament. (would have gotten 100 bonus pins) UCF won their 2nd Tier 1 of the year. Next Tourney is January 15-16th in OKC, then January 22nd in Houston.

Yeah they are national. I bowled 3 years at UNT and 1 year at Sam Houston, now I run the Conference, so it is fun just to get the guys recognized. I wish I could go bowling of the Football kind but finances prevent that right now.

Artest was wrong, he is supposed to be a professional and a cardinal rule of professional sports is you never go into the stands. A side not speaking of melee's did you guys see the huge brawl in the S.Car/Clemson game? There will be a ton of suspensions there for their bowl games, with how bad it got though with Troopers and Security needed, both Universities should be ashamed and forfeit their Bowl spots, yeah right we are talking about BCS teams.

Mean Green Bowling finished 3rd this past weekend finishing 1 pin out of 2nd place. They avg 1018 for the tournament, and avg 207 in Baker Games. Daniel Eubank on the B-Team won the Tournament avg 238 over 6 games John Young from the A-Team finished 6th, 1pin out of All Tournament with a nice 223 Avg. Leonard Sydnor from the B-Team finished 19th avg 208. The Guys head to St. Louis for Collegiate Match Games over the Thanksgiving Holidays for a great test against most every Top 20 Team in the nation.

The Anti-DD are around for the same reason b/c it is like a bad case of Groundhog Day in that we start every year 0-4 or 1-3 then dominate the Sun Belt. It is just questions as to why we can not win OOC games, whether it is FAU, Colorado, Texas, Piss Ant U.

Ok I know she has been here forever but when will the AD and company put the onus on Slinker to win again she has had several straight down years now and this first game makes this season look rough even though it is a very young team.

Kevin Moore has done squat in his plenty of opportunities. He did nothing against Texas, FAU, and Baylor. Then in limited carries he did nothing against MTSU and USU. Jamario is the man and lets pray we do not have to use Moore extensively the rest of the season.

I am hosting the 2nd North Texas Shootout at Varsity Lanes starting at Noon on October 16th and 9 A.M. October 17th. UNT will be well represented and teams from TX-St, TAMU, WT, UN-Omaha, Emporia St., OU, UH, and a host of other will be there. Thanks Gang

Just got back from Austin aftre running the SWIBC Fall Classic: Need to give a big hand to Freshman John Young on winning the tournament beating a potential future UNT Bowler Geoff Martin in the Finals. John Qualified 11th in the field of 43 and swept 5 straight opponents from UNT, UH, CCCC, SFA, and CCCC again to win the Double Elimination Bracket. Also congrats to Jr. Patrick McCordic who placed 5th and Jr Matt Hoyt for a strong 6th place finish. Finally Freshman Colby White qualified 8th, lost first match to Matt Hoyt then lost a narn burned to Jeff Campbell of WTAMU, 269-245, Campbell is the reigning National College Bowler of the Year. All total We had 7 guys finish in the Top 20. There next tournament will be Amarillo October 9th and then in Denton October 16-17th.

You know what shaft if the school does not force the students to get new ID's much less tell them that they are changing ID's every year, then how do they know to get a new ID. Quit the fan bashing!!

Shaft why don't you keep your smart-ass comments to yourself. You talk about everyone else's negativity but there you are tearing everyone down as if your the King Mean Green. You sat in the student side, these fans were on the alumni side, obviously buying ticket packages and they should be treated with some respect by the Athletics department and obviously they weren't. So where is your complaint?

Yeah that makes perfect sense so the alumni can look at rows and rows od empty steel rows. That is the brightest idea yet. Give the students some recognition for actually showing up rather than burning bridges like many are doing.
