  1. If you go for a Master's in Geography, hopefully UNT now has Graduate only courses, when I went Master's 50-75% of Grad courses were the same as undergrad, but the Applied is still great with the profs, to bad Dr. Schoolmaster is gone.
  2. If it is all coaches then it should have gone to Dave Borelli over at TCU for resurrecting the women's tennis team.
  3. Geography (Poly Sci Minor) andPublic Adminsitration (emphasis Emergency Mgmt/Planning) Working on PhD. in GeoSpatial Information Sciences Job: GIS Analyst for Enviromental Engineering Company
  4. Kinda like winning the Sun Belt conference year after year.
  5. If we do not beat LA Tech or LSU, then we do not deserve to be any better than 109, especially if all the other Sun Belt teams lose all of their non-conference 1-A games, has any team even won a 1-A OOC game?
  6. Wow calling him a quitter is pretty harsh maybe he saw some Parcellesque favoritism and got tired of it. Why don't we then call Byerly, Raymond, etc... b/c they quit on their team by not even doing the very minimum work which is required, so until full story comes out lets lay off.
  7. Love the great blasting of fans with the wrong data set, guess my Applied Geography was right when he said you can make any data lie for your own opinion.
  8. At least get your facts right it was FIU who got blasted by Arky State, but FAU did lose to ULM on Thur/Friday so that is pretty bad in of itself.
  9. I think it is more than just a couple of losses, most everyone here is pissed off at what seems like a total lack of preparation and then no sign of adjustments to defenses that are run week after week after week. The constant 0-5, 1-4 starts are grating to everyone. DD maybe a winner in our eyes, but he is doing what 110 other D-1a coaches can do and that is beat a Sun Belt team, all this means is that the other Sun Belt coaches are not that good. As for putting DD in the same sentence as Paterno or Bowden is a stretch at best, except for the lack of discipline for off field issues. Everyone just wants improvement and right now we are stuck in neutral and going nowhere, lets hope the Troy game turns us around. Going 8-3 would be a great season right now.
  10. Lafayette had a little flooding, but some friends down at ULL said mostly minor, just trees and power down in areas, but it was hairy at times.
  11. Glad to see that WT is having a good year finally, remember listening to the stadium speakers from my house growing up. WT has a place in my heart, albeight a small one.
  12. Don't count on it, we could go 0-10 and 0-10 and they will say we are just young still.
  13. Shows what happens when you have a proactive school who thinks big. UNt still has the small town/school mentality for the most part, at least a majority of the Athletic Department is trying to dream big.
  14. funny you mention all those teams because we have lost to everyone of them the last time we played them, with the exception that Baylor got wallopped by us 2 years ago.
  15. I am for a change in the system but throwing DD out so quickly after what he has done for UNT. This year has just become magnified with the 2 consecutive blowouts by non-Top 25 teams. Something must change, whether it means finding a new system to complement our players or what not. I am as angry as most everyone, but Cerebrus and others are correct it is to rash to say we need to toss DD now.
  16. this is a great team for the Sun Belt and we will win again and everyone will praise the coaches and OC in December
  17. The SHSU-MO St. has been cancelled due to Hurricane Rita, as have all other athletic events this weekend at SHSU.
  18. The Southland Conference has a contract with FSN to show several games a year and Sam Houston is 1 year removed from a SF run in the 1-AA playoffs
  19. For the same matter what was all the big hubbub about Ransome and Pistole??
  20. I still do not believe Tulsa is a good team, they were blwon out by Minnesota who is good, they lost to a bad OU, who lost to TCU, who lost to SMU. K State is just as good as Tulsa plus they have the nation's top RB right now as far as yds per game, that is if he plays. This could get ugly unless DD decides to pull out all the stops to show off for the K State AD.
  21. wow not even on the watch list, someone must love us, but I guess Stanford losing to a transitional D2 school is pretty bad also.
  22. we might as well run, run, run. PC has had 2 100 yd games with little help, besides the less time the ball is in the hands of our QB, the better we will be.
  23. one word to describe the player: "PUNK" and Snyder is handling this in the Bobby Bowden type manner. Oh he hurt someone but it was not as it seems.
  24. Saw a quick blurb in the DMN that the RB for K State was arrested for running over a parking attendant booting his car. Of course Snyder says he has not decided if he will play or not on Saturday. The RB leads the nation in Rushing right now.
  25. JT has been nursing the hammy since early last year (Baylor), not sure what it will take to get him healed, I stated in another post with ham string issues, you can look at Ken Griffey Jr, who has never been the same since he tore his hammy. although JT is no where near that serious it is definantly an issue.
