They do have academic advisors who do track the athletes but having a 50 :1 or so ratio is not very good. How about you cut him some slack and jump on these players to take personal responsibility, or has the gov't taken that over also now days.

Yes if your playing with UNT be prepared to have your defense get burned a few times by a pass happy offense, had that happen last night against Purdue and then early this morning against MTSU, but of course a few stops by defense allowed JT and his new freshman companion bust up the defense for 300 yd Rushing totals (team)

I do not honestly think this a horrible thing, Dr. Pohl has a year to get everything lined. The problem though could be if LJ gets his way and hires a Yes Man that the board approves of. Guess we all must now sit and wait and hope the money will come pouring in for Athletics. Hopefully this does not sway RV towards another school now

The other schools passed on Meager due to breaking his leg in Spring Ball and being unable to play his Sr. Year, I can see why the Big BCS schools would pass on him if he has not played a down in over 18 months. He is a perfect fit for UNT and hopefully he will surprise all the naysayers.

They are smoking some bad crack over in Ruston right now. UNT athletics overall is ok, but La Tech outside of WM BB plain stinks, but oh yeah they still have their SMU like delusions of grandeur when there FB team was decent.

Game is crazy, beat LSU, destroyed MUTS, then my pass defense makes the Tulsa QB look like a heisman candidate, throwing for 363 yds, losing 31-17 Also has anyone else noticed that neither Cobbs nor Thomas have much breakaway speed in the open field. I have had both break into the open field only to be run down from behind and that is with mashing of Sprint button.

Just simmed one season, went 9-3. Lost to MTSU, FIU (Belt Champs ) and got trounced by Tulsa. Invited to LV Bowl defeated BYU. Got 4 year extension and invite to CUSA to replace Rice. Pretty fun but need to play more, hopefully tonight.

They will need to build more parking garages since the Chancellor and President want their clear view of the Tower from their Offices in the Gateway. Guess they will still have their parking spots even if everyone else loses their's.

Unfortunately it appears they are leaning towards building the newest two dorms behind Clark and Maple respectively. This is horrible in that it will be a serious safety issue and several hundred spots of Resident parking will be gone, as well as game day parking.

I find it funny all the political morons say no gouging; then how do they explain the price of Gas jumping 20 cents in a matter of 8 hours, when a barrel of oil goes up $1, yet when the oil price goes down the same amount the price changes maybe 5 cents max over a period of 2-3 weeks. Of course then throw in a Hurricane or two and a bombing 5000 miles away and watch the prices soar, but hey its not price gouging. To bad here in a Texas we would rather pay $50 to fill up a gas guzzler than fight our Politicians into creating Mass Transit.

Also unless it has changed in the last 4 years, a player only has to maintain a 1.8!!!!! GPA to be eligible. If a player can not maintain this with all of the Academic Advisors available and the athletics help, then they do not deserve to play nor keep a scholarship. Does not matter if it is Joey, PC, or a 4th string scrub.

We actually need a well-rounded athletic program. With only Football, Soccer, and Track being the only Conference Competitive teams, that is not good. Add baseball and get Softball, Basketball (M/W), Tennis, and Golf competitive then we will have a much better shot. Of course Attendance in the big 3 (Basketball (M/W) and Football are huge.

Pick one up at Sam's in Lewisville today, has a the new green color (I think) although still has accent colos in the UNT on the front. Very nice though for $15. Check them out, they had several hundred on hand.

About right on suspension, 20 games, so 4-5 starts, plus fined undisclosed amount. Hopefully they will trade him aftewards so they won't have to deal with Boras again for Rogers.

Maybe a fair warning, the one time the wife and I ate at Katz we both got sick and we have several friends who have also gotten sick after eating there. The burgers tasted great going down, but not so much coming up or going out. More or less a poor man's Fuddruckers.
