Look at what Stoops did this year with a YOUNG Team, they improved immensely and will be going to a bowl, what did DD do with his young team?? It would be logical that after 10 full games the coaches could have helped the players along in winning these games, the close losses should fall on the coaches. These players are not young anymore after 5-6 games, with proper coaching they should have been acclimated and ready to go. Of course talent can not make up for poor playcalling and defensive schemes.

As opposed to DM averaging 5 delay of game penalties every weekend, the inability to put the ball into the endzone all season, he had plenty of sacks and INT's himself. As for the INT sounds like miscommunication Receiver broke long and QB went shorter. The ULL and FAU games are prime examples, yet DD did not offer him a chance to start. Take off Phillips 30+ points from those 2 games and we did not even average 10 pts a games with Quinn and the 2 Rushing Champs on offense.

Nice to see you have a win at all costs attitude . How can you say the back-up is not as good as the starter? Seems to me DD kept throwing a certain player on the field as a starter when it became clear at the end of the year the back up was a better player, plus many of the back-ups are young and hopefully hungry to make an impression on the coaches.

Why is so hard for the coaching staff to make the obvious decision, who are they trying to protect? Phillips has shown in the last 2 games that RIGHT NOW at least he is the better option. Meager might be the better QB overtime but right now Phillips is the best option, all of us "idiot fans" see this, but the almighty UNT coaching staff for someone reason can not.

We got blown out by LSU, a bad KSU team, an average La. Tech, and Average Tulsa team. TN even in a down year does not get their a$$es handed to them by Top 5 teams or other teams every game like we have in OOC games even in our 8 and 9 win seasons.
