Whoopeee We win the Sun Belt Conference for the 5th straight year, all the while we lost all of our OOC games by an avg of 40+ points. Do we want to go thru another bowl game being the laughing stock of the country b/c we won a conference that is worse than some 1-AA conferences.

Watch the supporters of this program will say the coaches are not paid enough to make adjustments in a game and we need to donate more money to get adjustments into their contracts.

My view is many are quick to attack the DD bashers, but does that mean your fine with the way the ship going?? This is a trend that happens every year, we are the laughing stock of the region in our OOC games but still win the Belt only to get clobbered by a middle of the pack CUSA team. If anyone is ok with this trend then so be it, that just explains the apathy present. Those who are critical DD are tired of the status quo (excessive penalties, embarassing losses home/away, fan bashing (whether joking or not), and lack of communication between Athletics and fans (i.e. autograph sessions skipped)). Why should the bashers be criticized for looking to the future and wanting more and feeling that current product will not get us to the next level, that hopefully many others would like to see.

Unfortunately the fumbler in all those instances has been JT. I think we need to ride our SR horse, PC has been playing great considering he has had to make his own holes. Believe he has 3-4 100yd games right now.

We should take it but the SunBelt will hate us. I would not be shocked if Tulane did drop that CUSA would take Troy, right now they seem to have the best backing of fans and best chance to score some upsets for CUSA. Of course UNT has the most potential if not for the apathy running rampant.

Nice DD like slap on the fans. I doubt loyalty is the issue here especially if you have seen the fan turnout this year so far.

Please do not tell me these boys work harder than every other student. These kids all have the privilege to play D-1a football. As for their workload NCAA Regulations only allow teams to practice 20 hrs a week maximum, if they do more over on their own then so be it. Many of the students at UNT regularly work 20+ hours a week and still take 15+ hours to pay for school. You add in the fact that the athletes have much easier access to tutors and also need only a 1.8 GPA, it would be hard-pressed to find someone to feel sorry for them. The alums pay for these kids to get a free education and when they see that many are throwing it away then that is frustrating. As they said earlier nobody is forcing the players/coaches/parents to read the boards. I think most on here are frustrated that the players and coaches at home games do not even stop and wait for the alma mater to finish, they just leave which is a slap in the face to the fans and the school who support them

I think everypne that is ticked off at DD is b/c of the way we lose. I think we could possibly except a blow-out loss to a Top10 team and amybe a 7=10 loss to a team,like Tulsa, Kansas St., or La. Tech but instead our coaches/players go out and lay 3 straight OOC eggs and that is what has riledup the fans. We were not even competitive in any of the games, when we should have won or playe these teams to the wire. After 6 games there appears to be little improvement anywhere on the team. The lone bright spot has been PC getting to 100 yds in most of the games and some of the Defensive players stepping up. Again it is not the losses themselves but the way the Coaches just blow them off as if every team we have played has been Top 10 when they are nowhere near that. We had the perfect OOC schedule and we blew it, thru bad coaching, game management and preparation. Its seems as if we go into a games blind not knowing what a team is going to do. After 6 games it is getting very old.

Are you kidding me the Big XII is not weak, they would heads up beat any non-BCS conference and let's not forget they also have the Big East and Pac -10 outside of USC and UCLA. I could use some of that Green Koolade your drinking though.

they really need to start passing that pipe around b/c it must be some wacked out stuff. There is no way they could possibly join Big 12 much less Conference USA. As for the replier he is from SHSU and they can not say to much except for their B-Ball team and occassionally they have a good season in Football.

FoxSW has a deal with the Southland Conference to show there games, so don't tear up the 1-AA's especially considering the garbage we put on national TV a few weeks ago. Last night's Fox game was a blow-out but is a rivalry game between SHSU/SFA and had some nice plays and actaully scoring.

DD is God and we must trust his judgement and accept his comments no matter how insane they may appear. We are just fans and do not have the right to comment negatively on the product being displayed by our school

Seems like we need to put the training wheels back on the Buick until these guys learn how to run, block, pass, and catch a football

I was surprised by the penalty yds being so low, I am guessing we just have 15 yarders at the most inopportune times, b/c it seems like it should be higher.

He is probably also below either of the ULL QB's either way 7/8 or 8/8 is not very good, lets pray for some improvement this weekend.

DD are you hearing this or reading anything but your own biased notes. It is time to bench Testaverde Jr. and go against your heart and let Phillips try. It can not get any worse right now.

NCAA allows the schools to run their programs like businesses and if their alumni/clientele want to put their money into the business than so be it. The BCS on the other hand is sham and only benefits the Rich and that also is where many of these big schools get their monies for their smaller teams. Spending caps would not be beneficial and in the end you may end up having a splinter organization formed by the elite schools.

so do you guys enjoy beating a dead horse??? Yes the Sun Belt is bad right now, but where else could we be?? We could be like Temple and be independent taking up the Wazzoo every weekend by major teams, we could be in the WAC-off Conference drowning in travel expenses and have nothing going on across I-35. We are in a good place for now. It is upto RV and company to put the right personnel in to make a conference change plausible and then happen. It could be a lot worse we could still have Helwig and Hurley around. Let's be true fans and show-up no matter what happens and give the players the support they deserve, whether you like the coaches or not.

here comes another frivolous lawsuit. This damn kid should be happy to be getting his education paid for by the taxpayers and alumni at Arky St. This more or less selfishness, I highly doubt it was the shoes that tore his knee up. Hell I should blame Prince for my bum shoulder and knees from years of tennis and wearing/playing with their equipment.

So basically you guys are saying it is fine for the coaching staff to shove their play system down the throats of the players when either the players are not capable of running the system (blocking etc...). This should lead one to wonder whether we are actually recruiting the right players. We have had 5 games and nothing on the offensive side of the ball has improved. Time for leadership to step up and instill some confidence and discipline in this team, that obviously is lacking when you look at all the mental errors. If a team has not gelled by the 6th game of the season and 4 weeks of practices then there are some major issues with talent and/or coaching.
