I guess they should follow the reporting style of the SID and say we barely got beat by Tulsa, La. Tech, and company. A little tired of losing these OOC squeakers by 40+ points. He examined the schedule and said the truth, which is we got plastered by Tulsa, at least he said a good Tulsa team.

They did open it up a little bit but that seemed more out of necessity but the coaches also did not use plays that would work best for their athletes. I know it is a pipe dream but with the talent and speed on offense hopefully the Offensive Gurus we have running the team will play to our strengths and it is not the banging head on running game that we have watched for 8 years now.

I think #1, 3, and 4 are good, but #2 I will believe it when I see it. They spew the same crap every year and the offense seems to get get worse each year.

This could be a tricky year to watch. On one hand we need our young guns to step up (FR. and RS Fr.) We have experienced QB's and a top flight RB (when healthy) plus a big bruising FB if used correctly. As I stated earlier the only true loss would be UT, but we should have a chance to win the rest if DD and coaches seek to out coach the opponents rather than keep trying to run over them with Dickey Ball and a soft zone defense. Overall predict 7-5 (5-2 Belt) Lose to UT, Tulsa, ULL, MTSU (about time with a new coach), and Akron Of course a pipe dream would be everything clicks our new coaches are awesome, DD/RF open playbooks and the Defense gets back to DeLoach type defense from 2001. easily could be 2-10 or 11-1

Plus we finally get a chance to pluck the Owls and skin the Panthers. Very nice Home Schedule indeed, plus 2 Away games within 4 hours.

We atre not playing Akron all 4 games. Reading between the lines it appears we might get different MAc teams each season, how is that bad. Sorry PMG I like you but I got to call you on this one.

See only one game being a definate loss, everything should be a win or toss-up game, with 9/9 being the Game of the Year.

Interesting about Akron, wonder if that is for future or for 2006, might be another winnable OOC since Frye is gone. Also funny they neglected to list LaTech and Tulsa as OOC games this year.

thinking the same thing, does the Athletic's Department even have staff outside of coaches and the AD, maybe the occassional PT Webmaster.

Apparently in his 30 min conversation with a poster he does take the OOC games seriously.

look at the whole athletic picture not just football and those teams have passed us. Outside of soccer we are not competitive with anyone out side of the Sun Belt among the major 12 conferences, just take a look at the results this year. In fact we are maybe middle of the pack in the Sun Belt over all athletics. but once again would not facts to get in the way of the green kool-aid. I'll shut up now and be another lemming.

Longer than Marshall, UCF, USF, Troy, FAU, Boise St., etc....... and they have all passed us 4 Sun Belt Titles or not. With the exception of FAU they have all been to bowl games and at some point have dominated their respective leagues, much like what we did from 2001-2004. Look where they have gone and look where we have gone. I think for many of us are tired of seeing lower schools go zooming by while we are stcuk in 1st or 2nd. Call that complaining if you want too.
