Plumm and others: We have to remember that Helwig is no longer hiring coaches. Yes JJ has been a disappoint for most of us but he did have an excellent background beforehand. RV has made a great hiring in Lama for Tennis, along a top notch assistant. Did RV hire Hedlund?? Softball not sure what to think about yet, although RV did fire thge first coach. Give it time and trust in RV to make the correct hire when the BOR gets the huevos to clean house.

Megan and Idalina both made Main Draw then lost first match. Sammi and Aziza lost in 2nd round in close match with Baylor. Ok in Consolation it shows all of UNT players No-Showed their matches beginning on Saturday. My question is why no-show and not get all the matches you can? They did this in Lubbock in the last tournament, I can understand in order to get home, but Regionals are only at TCU. Anyone have the scoop? Not a good precendent to have your players default matches, rather than getting match tough.

Funny thing was at a Wedding last night in Bella Vista, AR and the couple across the table were Razorbacks (I know imagine that in AR), mentioned UNT they immediately mentioned Woody and Kendrick Davis and we should expect big things. Hopefully the coaches can buiold on the talent, seeing as how that is their jobs.

and losing this OOC game wil kill the last of the momentum picked up from the SMUT win. BTW the Akron loss is looking worse and worse as the weeks wind on.

Ok I followed the game online and some in the chat room. Call me a bandwagoner but, I could give a rats a$$. I support the players and I am embarassed for them because the coaches make them look like crap. The win was great for the players b/c they had to overcome the coaching flaws of their HC and OC. I give the credit to the players and the players only. The DD/RF show needs to come to an end. I hope RV is paying attention. 7 OTs and all we scored was 25 pts is horrendous. Look at the other 2 7OT games and the total number of points by both teams was less than the losing teams in the other games. Great win but it proved nothing other than our players wanted to win despite the coaches. Hopefully this week off will open up some eyes. If we win anymore games this year it will be b/c the players beat two teams (their opponents and their coaches). As for attendance I hope for a large number but a blow-out to the hands of a weak La. Tech team will squash the last game. Oh yeah Akron and MTSU look awesome now.

I think FIU hits early and as the norm the coaches will turtle. FIU 35 UNT10 I hope I am wrong but the last 3 games give little hope.
