Meangreen Sports Article Open up the season in few weeks with trip to Florida and a meeting with #8 University of Florida. Should be a great season especially if the new Czech Player is as good as advertised.

With this being a RV hire she will finish her contract just like TD and RV will continue to make piss poor hires for the major sports and Dr. B will keep on consolidating her power while only fleetingly watching the AD. She of course will be at the Stadium opening with her pearly whites mugging for the camera next to RV.

To be fair TCU was "Outlaw"ed from being in a tied game with a beautiful pass thrown by Dalton, if the WR had timed his leap or better yet just kept on running it would have been a TD and tied game.

Do you truly believe the e-mails would show up, more likely the AD and President would play delay for a few days in order to wipe out the e-mails only to get busted and fined for ignoring FOIA regulations. A few heads should roll for this embarassment, including the AD if complicit and the President. Will be quite the soap opera for the next few weeks or months.

I understand your and it is the constant argument heard amongst tennis community, I am not adverse to setting some limit on Foreign players maybe 50/50 split or so, I believe the JUCO's still have a limit of 3 on scholarship at a given time. I believe RV has also let Lama loose a little more to go outside of the states as the previous coaches stayed with almost all Americans, Dan Traxler had 7/8 Americans with one Canadian transfer from Baylor, Dawna had a Dutch player, but otherwise maninly American. Lama I believe has a better pedigree than the other coaches and probably already had connections developed and now RV is letting him loose to get the players to make UNT a power, but at the same time has snubbed conference foes such as Arky State and UALR with the feeling they are no longer good enough to schedule.

Major problem is the baility to get Highly ranked US players to go to "smaller" or "non Big State U." schools. The highest ranked American Player is Kazarova and she was Top 15 in Texas and is playing #6 (Kazarova 4* Recruit). To get a similar player one would need to land a Top 100 Ranked Junior, but would that player commit to North Texas? Maybe if ranking shoots up, but more likely they will go to UT, A&M, etc... unless UNT has a special place in their heart. If Lama or future coaches get UNT into Top 40 in the nation then 4* and 5* recruits will start coming to UNT to play for the school and coach, but until then if you want to win you need to go with foreign talent who do not care about small school stigmas. Latest 2010 Commitment List One can most of the Texas girls are heading to SEC/ Big 12 schools that are Blue-Chip or 5* would be nice for UNT to get to that level eventually. Denver and FIU are probably the closest to landing 5* and Blue Chip recruits within the Sun Belt Conference

has JJ gotten the guys under control to close out a game, I seem to remember the team several times last year losing leads with under 10 minutes left in the game, we already saw it in the Boise State game. I do not follow the team close enough, so I make just be making an aSSumption.

Signing Spring 2010 This is great signing, if Coach Lama gets a pipeline into Czech Republic this will be great for the program. UT-Arlington has pipeline into the same area but this player appears to be heads above their teams. Plus we get her for 4 years. Seems lke she will be a solid #3-4 behind the Romanians and Madura. Cruz playing #5 and Kazarova #6 should make this a very strong and deep team for Spring season if everyone remains healthy.

Thanks for the note on the Laredo CC player, she would have been a great recruit for this year, but still a nice team if they have been practicing hard. Hope the injury bug stays away.

b/c Stephens has taken the Todd Dodge approach and run off all of the previous players and will use the youth excuse for 4 years + and RV will continue to back her because it is his hire once again. Give her five years, at least the record is better than Trilli's mantra.

I do not think it has to do with not seeing improvement, but more in the way of seeing the same mistakes occurring worse at the end of the year than at the start, we had Ohio won but WR dropped 2 TD passes, ULL, Army, FAU, FIU playcalling went conservative with a lead. MTSU/Arky State fell behind quick and ran same plays over and over again, really not much different than DD's run right, run left, run center calling, Dodge now goes zone read right, zone read left, bubble screen ... rinse and repeat. If it was not the same mistakes over and over again then the improvement would be fine but alas to late and it is time to get behind TD and hope he can win a few games early next year or else he would be gone by start if November.

Don't forget they very nearly took down Iowa as well.

So what does that say about Tune and Dodge then?
