  1. So we want to move up in rent when we can not even pay the rent in our "low rent" conference does not make sense, an ass-kicking is an ass-kicking no matter what conference we play in. Win the Belt then we can start talking about moving up to higher rents.
  2. Not bad, the only difference my be flipping ASU and ULM. ASU can travel easier being 1 hr from Memphis for flights and also sitting on a newer proposed interstate.
  3. La Tech is the only one that makes since in this scenario.
  4. RV better hope this hire turns out well. His last two major hires have cost the Athletic Department 1/4 million + in buyouts of incomplete contracts and now another $100K here. Interesting on Schaefer if true, figure he will be called by some bigger schools though.
  5. I would not be thrilled at all having to play ULL in round 1, they are a dangerous team to play early.
  6. Thanks for the update, I was not able to see any of the DNF match scores, but obviously a disappointing loss. Afraid it will throw the ladies into the same half as FIU, which I think is a step above Denver and ULM, hope for a 3 seed, but that will require a ULM loss and UNT giving a resounding butt kicking to UTA, Troy, MTSU to close out the season. Obviously the coaches could take a closer look at the pathetically weak schedule of ULM, but who knows.
  7. Loses 4-0 to Denver in Denver, maybe altitude change to much to adjust to in such a short time. Mean Green Athletics Believe this will drop the ladies down to at least #3 if not a 4 seed, pretty convincing loss it would appear. Need to come back strong against UTA and then hammer Troy and MTSU before Conference. See the following seeds: #1 FIU, #2-#3 Denver or ULM, #4 UNT, #5 ULL, #6 ASU, #7 FAU #8 Troy, #9 MTSU, #10 USA, #11 UALR, #12 WKU
  8. in act of consistency UNT drops 2 straight to bottom dweller WKU. So much like BB Team, we can beat some big name schools, but can not beat Sun Belt Teams.
  9. The PR people at UCA are morons for putting this Zebra Field concept out on April Fool's Day, they are only making fools of themselves, but we shall see this could be entertaining next fall.
  10. I could see JJ heading to Missouri, but not Columbia, rather to Springfield and the now open Missouri State position. No football so basketball is king and they play in a very good conference.
  11. Get off at Vintage Blvd (FM 2449) and bump over to Bonnie Brae hang a left and ease on up to the stadium.
  12. Tennis wins again 5-2 Nice win for the ladies, surpried the Demons were missing Dragana to fill in at #6, when Rubesova did not play singles. I am guessing that Dinuta is still not 100%, seems to be an odd loss, IMO. Very good win for Madura and Nadia. Just a very good win that should keep the ladies intact to land the #2 seed at conference, although I would assume ULM and Denver are right there as well. Every match til the end of season is important, a good start would be beating TCU or play them close. They do need to beat Denver and then beat Troy like a drum , who just lost to ULM 6-1.
  13. Well hope UTSA and TX State enjoy going bankrupt upon their move to the Great WAC.
  14. Now if VCU can somehow beat KS could you imagine the how upset CBS will be with two Mid-Majors in the Final Four
  15. Kansas could make it to the finals without playing anyone higher than an 8 seed, if Butler beats Florida, talk out being their tournament to lose.
  16. Score is much closer than it truly was it would appear. UNT was up 4-0 pretty quickly and then dropped remaining 3 matches. Mean Green Sports Next up Sunday against NW State. This could be a dangerous match. NW State is very experienced and went to the NCAA's last year as well. Should be a UNT win but will be close. Would think the team wins at #1,2,4,5 singles and at #1 and #3 doubles. NW State has a very good #3 and #2 Doubles.
  17. He was an Asst also at ORU when they made a few NCAA Tournaments and was a Asst at Mizzou so he is qualified and fairly young at 43 y.o. May not be the top choice but would figure he is somewhere on the list depending on interest of others. Either way with signing day a month away we need a coach in place.
  18. Liking the newest name be floating. Wilbers has AR Tech into Elite Eight again in his 3rd season, was successful Asst at ORU and also was at Mizzou. Without our previous leader around he might actually have a chance if he were to apply.
  19. One less Major job opening has been filled. Tx Tech has taken Billy Gillespie, now unless Arkansas comes after JJ he should be back next year, unless Mizzou takes him after Anderson goes to Arkansas. Although JJ may have been targeted.Yahoo Rivals Article
  20. Vito added this is the first sweep for MUTS in SEVEN Years!!! It is hard to see the positives right now.
  21. That is good to know, but nonetheless it was on RV's watch. Wish Stephens luck as well and hope UNT can get it right this time.
  22. interested to see how this will play out. This is RV's 2nd Straight major sport coach failure. Will Rawlins take control of this next hire? Do we have Donna Capps on speed dial?
  23. Athletics Website FIU wins 6-1 dominating at #1-3. The ladies hung close @ #4-6 so all is not lost. Hope the sick and injury bug is gone. Ladies need to beat USA tomorrow in a bad way, then win the 3 remaining Sun Belt Matches on the schedule. Right now fight is for the #2 seed in Conference with Denver and ULM. ULM only has one loss but they have played a weak, weak schedule. Northwestern State will be a common opponent.
  24. Just sitting back and watching, in a pickle for most, of course Libya harbors terrorists so US one would think would want a change in leaders, but we have found it is not always greener on the other side. Besides if we do throw out Gaddafi, I hope he has a one way ticket to Lockerbie, Scotland, I hear there are families who would like to meet him.
  25. If we would have taken care of business in conference play we also could have been playing in the NIT, so no whining from fans when other teams get in because they actually won their conference regular season, we did not take care of business, end of discussion.
