Occupy Denton
untbowler replied to Dr. Seuss's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
if they truly wanted to occupy somewhere they should be at the WH and National Captial, protesting Congress and their yearly raises now sitting at $160K a year plus very generous pension plans, but nope they are going after the job makers. Let me know know how it works when all the job makers say FU and leave. -
who cares let the kids have their fun. The coach enjoys and it makes the players proud to know the students support them as well.

Beat WKU & MTSU then upset AK St or Troy then we are Bowl Bound
untbowler replied to Tree's topic in Mean Green Football
Can we start laying off the Dodge recruits somewhat, they appear to be playing just fine, if you want to say Dodge could not get the best out the players so be it, but tiresome now to say how bad the players he recruited are when he had a couple of the highest classes that UNT has seen, sucks so many did not pan out. Outside of the OL these are Dodge recruits who are starting to gel. Not fair to the players to say they are horrible all the time. -
Beat WKU & MTSU then upset AK St or Troy then we are Bowl Bound
untbowler replied to Tree's topic in Mean Green Football
not to far fetched. MTSU is not good, Troy is not good, WKY outside of Rainey is not good 70% chance of winning all three. Wild Card is ASU game, do we go conservative like our previous road games and get the doors blown off or do we get to see Thompson go vertical again and open up some running room for Dunbar and Hamilton -
Thompson begins to capitalize on potential
untbowler replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
capitalize on potential or just had the leash taken off by the coaches to try some vertical offense. -
Is ASU the flavor of the week now? It was FIU, then ULL, so maybe we can make it change again.
-
Vegas not to high on the Mean Green traveling to Jonesboro. After this past weekend will this be the time the team wakes up and plays well on the road? Would be a great way to really jumble the Sun Belt Standings. 14 pts is a little steep but after FIU and ULL sounds about right. Hopefully Bowen keeps the dogs going and Canales unleashes Thompson again.

I just want to see the same intensity in a road game, right now we can play great in front of a home crowd but get gun shy infront of the opposition
-
great to see Hilbert Jackson play great inplace of Warren. Also why do we not see more of Laramie Lee on defense he is constantly referenced on Special Teams.
-
I hope the coaches and teams can play like this on the road, that has been the issue. ASU and Troy are honestly not much better than the other Sun Belt Team. For crying out loud WKU just beat ULL tonight.

Yeah to be way way wrong

DT just does not have it, 7 games in. Last drive missed 3 wide open chances which could have been scores. It is the QB not the OL

Yes they did and outside of CC and Basketball WKY is an embarassment and does not fund their sports or at least recruit well. I somewhat wish the MAC would just take them, but then we would no longer have our whipping boy.

BINGO!!
-
does not seem to far fetched to me, winning 1-AA National Title can do wonders to ones image, they would make sense in the East if ECU gets picked off, would be travel partner to Marshall.
-
Good luck to the ladies, couple have tough draws but should do well. Tournament Draws Update: Serchenko - Vykydalova beat TCU and then UT (#4 UT team) play #8 Seeds from Rice Saturday Lee - Sprinkmeyer Bye, then lost to UTA, not what I would consider a good loss, playing UTEP currently Bardabush - Starkova beat TCU and then SHSU, play #2 Seeds TAMU Saturday

First Year Head Coach Wins Again At Ark St
untbowler replied to FirefightnRick's topic in Mean Green Football
well I guess the players are just following DMac's quotes of being to small and everything else, why should they care if they win or not when they have coach who says they are to small, couple that with the Dodge losing era and I guess we will get the 5 year Iowa State experience. At least DMac has not called the fans a bunch of MF'ers yet. -
Press conference notes and player video
untbowler replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
So what were the adjustments this past weekend? go into half down by 3, still only able to drive 20 to 20 and then freeze. 2nd Half not adjustments ULL runs away while our offense sputters yet again. I have only seen marginal improvement, maybe the team is still ecstatic about that IU and FAU win. -
First Year Head Coach Wins Again At Ark St
untbowler replied to FirefightnRick's topic in Mean Green Football
Nice UNT has their new motto now "Just Wait!!" Whether it is 7 yrs or 50 years lets just wait. Why do we always seem to have the same issue year after year, yet other smaller budgeted teams tend to ignore their problems and just win.- 89 replies

You sure, the coaches seem to be showing the opposite with some of their play-calling and personnel moves, but I am just some slow, fat slob typing on a keyboard.
