Shhhh!!! That's blasphemy on this board.
-
not surprising Walling I sure lives in the LHHS area that more closely resembles SMU than UNT anyways good luck to him in the pink and blue and to him having at least 2-3 coaches in his 5 years
-
It was good to see the ladies came back strong and put a beating on Oral Roberts, also saw Irina played singles.
-
No I'll just save that for your savior JJ. SFA's coach is in second year and has already completely turned the team around. Pretty impressive. He was an assistant at UA-Fayetteville so has good connections and SFA has a pretty new large facility, so good recruiting.
-
SFA is going to be good this year, but with the experience the team has this result I hope is due to overconfidence and early season match. Makes next weekend's matches look even tougher now.
-
SFA shuts out UNT No words to describe this result except wow. That is a beat down by SFA, not a good result nor a result to be at all happy about.
-
If I lived closer I would but have some officiating this weekend, but will be chairing a match or two when the ladies come to Fayetteville, a week from Saturday vs. Kansas State. I then see SFA the next weekend when they play a double header against UCA and UALR. Then I'll see Oral Roberts first weekend of March when they play UCA. Would love some reports if fans are able to make it out.
-
SFA should not be taken lightly, they have a 2nd Year coach who has brought in some solid players. Should be a 6-1 or 5-2 match but will be tough one for the ladies. Watch for the SFA #1-2 players who are pretty stout. They beat Louisville 5-2 this past weekend SFA beats UL Their #2 team also beat the #27 Nationally ranked team from Illinois in Florida 2 weeks back. SFA/ILL Match Oral Roberts should be a an easier match but the ladies could be tired from the early match turn around. They have won a individual match this year following losses to sweeps to Tulsa and Wichita State and a 6-1 loss to Okie State

woohoo way to whine as well and not support a new coach who has been doing very good things this year. Boo Hooo!!!

The 3 Academies to me are all off limits to criticizing a kid passing us to go play and serve our country

So you would choose live amongst the 1/3 of the population that stayed behind to gang bang for a living? I personally would choose Denton over New Orleans but then again I am not overly fond of Bourbon Street, but the 4 Bowl games were fun, so 1-2 nights during bowl season would be all I need then let the locals go back to gang banging and shooting up funerals. Good luck to the young, personally I also enjoyed being 13 hrs from home my freshman year.
-
Wish we could say that about our local beat reporter as well.
-
oh well let him stay in that hell hole called New Orleans, 364 days out of the year. We will be just fine, besides Vito acts like jumping to a weak CUSA school was so good. Good luck Lefrance living at home with your parents.

Keystone Pipeline Decision
untbowler replied to DeepGreen's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Funny considering Pelosi in SF Transit extension of 1.5 miles would generate 45K in jobs yet a 1000 mile long pipeline would not even create 2K. Love how politics somehow always replaces common sense -
can't be to excited if he is looking elsewhere.

Stop making excuses, look at the tennis team and other minor sports who travel and are gone much more than Basketball and do not get to travel as plush as Basketball with their flights and buses. These other athletes seem to do just fine as freshmen and all somehow maintain 3.0+ GPA's as a whole team.

Breaking news -- Chris Jones, Jordan Williams ineligible
untbowler replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Well to be honest in your eyes it is all the students fault while defending the administration to the hilt, so I guess everyone just needs to find common ground. -
We now get to see JJ's raise and extension put to the test, does he have the coaching ability to steady the ship and continue winning. The talent is there.
-
Expect about as much as 2 others

Breaking news -- Chris Jones, Jordan Williams ineligible
untbowler replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
wow so no one is blame for this debacle, really. How hard is it to maintain a 1.8 GPa when you have advisers at your fingertips. Why was JJ and staff not checking on these guys. For crying out loud we used to require quarterly reports from professors for progress. I do not give a damn about JJ's record all this does is tarnish it and shows he will do anything to win games. These guys should have been sat down as soon as grades were posted. I am sorry but Jones and Williams deserve transfere a bit of blame, but sounds like Dodge is not the only one with Teflon now days -
yeah 28% is great shooting, but you can pull the stick out whenever you feel like it.
-
Wait are we sure JJ still wants him if he is not jacking up threes every chance he gets??
-
Then please inform everyone on what Academically Ineligible means, this coming from the UNT Compliance Office. It means he had below a 1.8 or 2.0 Cumulative GPA or he did not have enough hrs to meet Sr Standing (which is 96 hrs, actually 72, believe NCAA only requires 24 hrs a year to be considered forward progress) So unless Patton only took 12 hrs a semester with no summer school, then this does fall on him and class work. If he does not step on the court this year then it was a complete waste if a scholarship when the team has obvious needs.

So guess he forgets that A&M is also being led to slaughter as well in the SEC, hmm
