Malzhan is very popular in ARkansas from his HS Coaching Days and then his days at UA before Nutt ran him off, he did very well at Tulsa as well prior to Auburn, so this is a big time hire, especially in Arkansas

Yeah God forbid the Athletic Department show recruits that they should support their brothers and sisters in the Athletic Department. I would hope if there Athletic Events on campus the Coaches would at least run the recruits by those events for camaraderie.

Under the circumstances I think he would be disappointed, he was out in the town gathering support, he had a brand new stadium to work with and attendance was not where it probably should have been with everything. Now did the AD just rest on their laurels with a new stadium and think it would sell itself to an apathetic fanbase? Maybe and hopefully that will change come 2012, but the blame can not be leveled on DMac for attendance as he went out and spoke to the students, alumni, and citizens. So I could see why he would be upset.

So why are self-admitted "non-students" allowed to camp out on the campus and then use campus facilities for another non-student? Did they pay to rent the room? or are they an official SO?

Why wouldn't he? If the MWC-CUSA merger happens CSU could be in an AQ conference, they have good attendance and better pay in a nice local. I would love for him to stay but would be hard to turn down if offered.

Those years were great, but we had a coach who chose a bunker mentality and did little for the crowds, now if DMac or someone of similar enthusiasm were in place things may have been different, so hopefully this time we do not screw it up.

The only area I put any blame on DMac is the piss poor showings on the road, otherwise he did do all he could, the poor turnout IMO relates to the AD and the many Student Organizations not buying into Athletics

DMac is on the right track but he also needs to take responsibility in some ways for the low student turnout as does RV and the Administration as a whole for breeding a culture that does not attract students to the games. Also not competing well on the road against winnable teams (FIU, ASU, Tulsa) can kill any excitement for the fence sitters. DMac is a great ambassador for the school, but he also needs help from those above him and beside him, he can not do it alone.

It was nice to see he called out our crack SID on the debacle, at least someone in the AD has some cajones to point out obvious issues.
