Yes this very true even in the Tennis Officiating world, many officials including myself dislike doing junior tournaments because of the disrespect and out of control parents and players. Would rather do one College match and make more than a 12 hr workday.

UNT Dallas Law School in danger of not getting accredited

Lee Jackson is a waste of air in the UNT System, wish BOR would give him the DMac and RV treatment, he has done literally nothing but screw the Denton Campus since he took over as Supreme Leader- 76 replies

MGB breaking news -- Smiley suspended for SMU game
untbowler replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
have to give Smiley credit sounds like he handled it like a man and did not lie and try to weasel out of it. He screwed up admitted to the police and now serving punishment handed out, hope it is a learning experience for him. Sucks to miss him in SMU game, but hopefully he takes the knockdown and gets right back up. Case closed -
MGB: A name to keep in mind in AD search: Wren Baker

Dr Teague would be a nice fit, but not sure he is ready for UNT, he has done a fantastic job at UCA as they moved from D2 toi FCS, but he made a disaster hire in MBB, he does not seem to fundraise at the level needed, facilities in the minor sports are not where they should be, learned to get by on the cheap for the most part. He lost the FB Coach to rival Conference team due to low pay, but all that said if he was hired by UNT he would do ok, I just do not see him as the right fit though, until he shows he can fundraise better.- 71 replies

Well unfortunately UNT had that chance to fully fund athletics and our weasel of a Chancellor refused to fight for it down in Austin and we got saddled with restrictions on our athletics fee unlike any other university, blame Lee Jackson for this garbage under his terrible leadership or lack of leadership.

DRC: Dickenson the right person for UNT’s athletic director
untbowler replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I would rather have Alan Ward as AD than Hank and I am not a fan of Ward, but at least he left to get more professional development, Hank remained on this staff and is tied to its failures on many levels- 75 replies

I love Dr Teague, but not sure he is ready for the big time, he did good with UCA transition, but not sure he is ready for a G5 job just yet, but I do like your thinking, although his Men's BB pick was an utter disaster. He is not a big fundraiser but knows how to weave thru all the political BS at a University

I would think the AD at La Tech has plenty of egg on face right now due to his hiring of a 25 y.o. impregnator of players

He was hired in Spring 2001, I was there in Fall 2000 Helwig firing, Stallings Athletics report and the Trilli firing, and the tennis Coaching change that took place that spring.

just another spectacular hire by RV, only at UNT is the abysmal hiring record and fundraising record allowed to remain

MGB: Benford to enter 5th season in final year of contract
untbowler replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
with the messed up logic RV gave, then why did they fire DMac, he had a contract that they had extended 2 yrs prior. Such piss poor excuses being made here. Exactly who's fault is it that the starting 5 had never played together, would that not be piss poor recruiting by the Coach -
Little Rock Trojan basketball
untbowler replied to Coach Bill Lewis's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Change leadership culture of penny pinching and being average, set expectation of success Jackson has been an embarrass as Chancellor, BOR holds no one accountable and are fine being the cheapest value in Texas -
MGB: No news today on hoops, source says
untbowler replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
retirement home on Bonnie Brae is such a joke, UNT is a joke, I hope RV is choking seeing UALR, SFA, and MTSU actually winning big games unlike during the 15 yrs of his tenure -
Little Rock Trojan basketball
untbowler replied to Coach Bill Lewis's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Imagine that someone that is an alumni or at least tied to the City or University. UNT can not even get 50% of their BOR as alumni. Just pathetic situation in Denton. Good place for other schools alumni to come and make some nice $$$ with no accountability. -
Breaking at WKU: Harper out, three suspended
untbowler replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
He did pay for Peterson to come and go from UNT, so that is pretty close.
