  1. If he wanted to win he would have stayed at UNT, think McCasland will have this team in the Top Half or even top third of CUSA next year
  2. very nice win for the ladies.UTA is a scrappy team, but the ladies should beat them 5/2 range.
  3. http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/w-tennis/spec-rel/041317aab.html Really like one of the players, the 2nd TBD. Seeing as how there are 8 ladies on the team and only one SR, I assume someone on the team is either a walk-on or leaving. 2017-18 Season the Top 3 will be very, very tough.
  4. would this have been done if UNT was not hosting, CUSA Tournament next weekend, after Easter
  5. We don't want UTSA as rivals how do you think the start-up feels about UNT after winning 75% of the games so far?
  6. good move by AAC, brings a good all sports member while maintaining even number for FB and BB
  7. Denver is in the Summit, but your point is valid with them adding UT-RGV and UMKC
  8. To be competitive unfortunately they have to go all foreign, local school here has 2 Thai's, 2 Japanese, 2 China, 1 S Korean, 1 S. African. The high 4* and 5* players won't come to the schools, in order to be competitive you need 4-5* players, or a 3* diamond in the rough who loves to play. To many American kids want the free ride and not the work. Tennis is a spoiled bunch on the American side for the most the part. Lama got a good one in Thoma. *** so is someone hurt that I pointed out the fact on many American players as it relates to tennis? Having officiating for over 10 yrs, have seen the attitudes.
  9. Thanks. So I assume he was an early signee and they released him. Sorry to lazy to look at ASU recruiting.
  10. Not sure he signed he was only a commit, so no LOI was signed I would assume.
  11. maybe him and Coach Lama can split up on recruiting Russian Talent
  12. that is a tall family, this kid runs 6;10", his dad looks to be another 1-2" taller. Welcome Comrade to UNT.
  13. We don't need Murders Row like what Trilli had, but we also do not need to play the entire SWAC conference. Bring in some name regional opponents from AAC, Southland (SFA, Sam Houston, etc..), Missouri Valley
  14. tennis needs to finally take that next step and Coach Lama has them on the cusp but not quite there. They ruled the Sun Belt the last years there, but CUSA is a step up in competition mainly due to Rice and FIU resurging, now #30 ranking. Team looks to be around #4-6 right now. FIU #1, Rice #2, #3 ODU In their defense though Tennis is playing a very tough schedule with a few ranked teams. Ga. State and Old Dominion are bad losses IMO
  15. Right now I think GM is better hire because he has a history of winning. SL is a first time HC, and first season was 5/8 with now a questionable recruiting class. GM has worked his way up winning at every level.
  16. ouch easy with the truth serum there Red Wolf :)
  17. BINGO!!! If he wins a ton and a big school picks him up. Kudos to him.
  18. With how solid the AD is up at Jonesboro, that would not surprise me. They are moving in a great direction right now and have the town firmly behind them as well as their alumni, Good things going on in NE Arkansas.
  19. That's great was just asking the question. I am hoping his success can translate. Maybe AState had injuries down the stretch, so was asking the question.
  20. looking at record, why is everyone so high him? He lost to ULM in the 1st round of the Belt Tournament after beating them by 30 pts in season. They dropped 6 of 8 down the stretch. Lost to both Cross and Kaspar. His record prior to joining Baylor is phenomenal. Just curious if he is worth $500k buyout. Just my opinion, would prefer Harper, but sounds like could be a solid hire.
  21. So why would we not want to get into the 30-40 range like many other mid-majors have done. Screw only having to win the Conference Tourney to get a bid. Win some big OOC games, not from the SWAC, and have higher standards to at least get into the bubble range.
  22. I would prefer someone who can get UNT higher than #107 RPI.
  23. Absolutely not. We should shoot for a coach that can get UNT higher than a 107 RPI.
  24. please God no. We have had our fills of P5 retreads. Do we never learn from past experiences. Hire a current head coach at a lower D1, or a Successful D2 program
  25. UCA has a nice Track/Soccer Complex, with field events just outside the venue. http://ucasports.com/sports/2010/8/9/_0809101353.aspx?id=46
