  1. pretty standard at most schools for Olympic Sport coaches to be on 1 yr contracts reviewed annual, softball and soccer could be different due to larger scale, but most minor sports coaches sign on yearly basis.
  2. after the slap on the wrist L'Ville got, will be curious what hand slap the NCAA crooks give Baylor. Seems view of NCAA is if it is not academics related, just carry on. Sickening.
  3. The MJG pic is awesome. Well done to the UNT Twitter Staff
  4. another transfer?? Still waiting on the transfers to make an impact that JM picked up in first recruiting class. There usually a reason players leave a school, and most are not for positive reasons, i.e. they were too good for the team. WBB needs to make a move this year or Jalie's seat should start getting warm.
  5. no way, no how, they belong in the Sun Belt until they can prove they can compete with FBS teams in most sports.
  6. hey look at that we finally beat UTSA in something.
  7. good for the coach and hope lesson learned for player. Her actions directly affected the teams Championship
  8. McCasland has what Dodge did not and that is legit HC experience at the College level, a DII national title is also a very good accomplishment. I think it will be good times in Denton next fall
  9. collapse continues, match play not going well so far: http://results.golfstat.com/public/leaderboards/gsnav.cfm?pg=match&tid=13259 down 4-1 currently to Charlotte
  10. If he wanted to win he would have stayed at UNT, think McCasland will have this team in the Top Half or even top third of CUSA next year
  11. very nice win for the ladies.UTA is a scrappy team, but the ladies should beat them 5/2 range.
  12. http://www.meangreensports.com/sports/w-tennis/spec-rel/041317aab.html Really like one of the players, the 2nd TBD. Seeing as how there are 8 ladies on the team and only one SR, I assume someone on the team is either a walk-on or leaving. 2017-18 Season the Top 3 will be very, very tough.
  13. would this have been done if UNT was not hosting, CUSA Tournament next weekend, after Easter
  14. We don't want UTSA as rivals how do you think the start-up feels about UNT after winning 75% of the games so far?
  15. good move by AAC, brings a good all sports member while maintaining even number for FB and BB
  16. Denver is in the Summit, but your point is valid with them adding UT-RGV and UMKC
  17. To be competitive unfortunately they have to go all foreign, local school here has 2 Thai's, 2 Japanese, 2 China, 1 S Korean, 1 S. African. The high 4* and 5* players won't come to the schools, in order to be competitive you need 4-5* players, or a 3* diamond in the rough who loves to play. To many American kids want the free ride and not the work. Tennis is a spoiled bunch on the American side for the most the part. Lama got a good one in Thoma. *** so is someone hurt that I pointed out the fact on many American players as it relates to tennis? Having officiating for over 10 yrs, have seen the attitudes.
  18. Thanks. So I assume he was an early signee and they released him. Sorry to lazy to look at ASU recruiting.
  19. Not sure he signed he was only a commit, so no LOI was signed I would assume.
  20. maybe him and Coach Lama can split up on recruiting Russian Talent
  21. that is a tall family, this kid runs 6;10", his dad looks to be another 1-2" taller. Welcome Comrade to UNT.
  22. We don't need Murders Row like what Trilli had, but we also do not need to play the entire SWAC conference. Bring in some name regional opponents from AAC, Southland (SFA, Sam Houston, etc..), Missouri Valley
  23. tennis needs to finally take that next step and Coach Lama has them on the cusp but not quite there. They ruled the Sun Belt the last years there, but CUSA is a step up in competition mainly due to Rice and FIU resurging, now #30 ranking. Team looks to be around #4-6 right now. FIU #1, Rice #2, #3 ODU In their defense though Tennis is playing a very tough schedule with a few ranked teams. Ga. State and Old Dominion are bad losses IMO
  24. Right now I think GM is better hire because he has a history of winning. SL is a first time HC, and first season was 5/8 with now a questionable recruiting class. GM has worked his way up winning at every level.
  25. ouch easy with the truth serum there Red Wolf :)
