  1. interesting hire, very successful at D2; Surprised they went with a male coach to be honest
  2. Appreciate the update, glad you know your stuff. Loving the commits
  3. I am sure you're correct, but my understanding is transfers do not sign NLI's like we had before NIL, so they would not be official until on campus.
  4. all these transfers are signed, but until they are on campus and in class they are not committed. Cross fingers everyone arrives on campus.
  5. sad thing is he will still have 4 yrs to play after Yr 2 of JUCO
  6. no reason to be concerned. We should be happy with the players coming.
  7. please tell me this kid at least has a degree after being at 3 schools, if not how is he on track eligibility rise going into his 4th school
  8. guess the $$$ he expected was not, there. Guess welcome back, please stay and be a part of the UNT family.
  9. its all about leadership at the University President and BOR level. Both schools have committed to moving up, while UNT is fine with status quo, decades of apathy can not be changed without help from the top levels.
  10. Cassity appears to be a TX family now, so why uproot and move to the NE to a bad program when offered a little less $$$ to not fully uproot your family. Seems like he wanted to stay in TX and UNT made the offer to keep him in State.
  11. Did you no read thru the thread???
  12. good question for the BOR and past presidents, they wonder why such apathy when the school does not try to engage the community
  13. good, some students getting smart that they do not need a College Degree to succeed, find a passion and work hard and a blue collar job will make way more than some white collar degree and $200k in debt
  14. kid graduates, good for them and best of luck, for those leaving with out a degree AMF!!
  15. DC comment is regarding Caponi, I love his new choice, but Defense suffered for 2 years. As for Hodge, think team is a once again middle of the road AAC, losses to McNeese and High Point highlight that and negate the Oregon St and Minnesota wins, should not expect to be a Top 3 team in conference, especially when expected to only be a 1-2 bid conference max
  16. For FB only would be a good move by NIU, then either join Summit, Horizon League for other sports, save $$$
  17. Did not end well due to complacency but RV brought the Athletic Programs up with some of his early hires and retentions.
  18. Sorry but all the issues you listed are what the majority of G5's have to deal it, should be same standards. Still does not change that Hodge was on staff for the NIT Championship team and did not recruit the players needed to fully reload. Same with EM coming, plus he chose poorly on his DC and should hand off to a true OC. All choices by these coaches.
  19. if we have defensive players who have rarely touched the field in 2 yrs on the worst defense in the country, then probably a good thing their transferring and freeing up a spot
  20. Just being testy but have they been? EM = SL even minor regression Hodge finished 7th after taking over NIT Championship team Stone looks solid will take another year to get tennis moving, Lama had very good players but could not keep them happy enough to stay in Denton, 2 very different coaching styles.
  21. layoff the spiked eggnog
  22. Is it a big loss if he could not even break into the 2 deep with such a horrid secondary?
  23. Can you blame him, CM played 99% of the snaps and none of the backups even got a chance.
  24. When it becomes all about money, love of the game takes a back seat
  25. I will just keep giving my yearly $$$ for the past 15 years to students actually wanting a degree from UNT via scholarships in Departments.
