Rick, you should ignore people like that. Most fans of other teams realize that no team in the history of teams has won every game. All teams have lost games they shouldn't have and had their butts handed to them at some point. What comes around goes around. Our resident OU guy here in the office is pretty quiet these days. He still asks respectfully how we are doing, and doesn't rub it in when I respond, not too well. Anyway, guys like that are useless and will always be sheep following the closest Shepard they can find.

Well said Rick, Run at all cost only works agains teams we have better athletes than. Anytime we come up against a team with greater speed, we lose. Just need to give the guys more to work with. Then again, RF knows much more than I do.

Seems like the strong running game only works against teams that have slower athletes. It’s probably why we win so few OOC games. Most of those teams are either just better than us or have the athletes to contain the running game. This has been exposed even more this year because our defense is very average. The past 4 years we have had a solid defense that gave our offense many opportunities. This year, our offence is even more one dimensional. Maybe Saturday’s game is a start. We do need to pass the ball at least 20 times a game. Probably 25 times or more. Then the offense can compete better with a faster defense.

This is a good point. I think the coaches are trying they are just a little to bull headed in their way of thinking. What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? The guys are working hard. I haven't seen any giving up. What I don't like about the coaching staff has nothing to do with effort only philosophy. On a lighter note. Lets all wear boxing gloves to the game on the 19th. That would be funny.

We do need all the fans we can get. It's just disappointing for someone here to just walk away for the rest of the season. People on this board have extremely different opinions. The one common thread is that we all (most) seem to love the Mean Green and show our support even if the team is losing, even if we hate the coach, and even if a coach attacks a fan. We need fair weather fans. They will put 30,000 in the stands some day. We are going to dip some years, but we need that core group to grow. If someone is going to come on here and basically say, "hey, it was fun while it lasted, see you when we are good again," then they should be blasted. Just don't expect most of the guys on here that a small part of them dies every time we lose a game to be sympathetic.

When you get 30,000 college students in one small place there is always something to do. I don't think any college students in NE are sitting around with there thumbs in there butts trying to figure out what they are going to do.

"We are being out coached" is in no way abuse.

We are in this together, but what RF did was beyond, "lets get together and shake" kind of thing. It needs to be dealt with. We don't have to know every detail, but he is a public employee. Our tax dollars etc go to pay his salary. He is under much pressure, but that is not an excuse. If someone had that on tape and it was being shown he would be gone today. He best leverage right now is the he said/she said angle. Many people have tempers, but he lost control of himself. Most people who saw that knows that he snapped and did something inappropriate. We are all responsible for our actions. Even if we are extremely sorry for them afterwards.

At Tech they could cover most of the field with the tortillas. Here, we can't even get them to the other side of the track.

What Ramon did was inexcusable. Telling a coach he is getting out coached is part of the job. I get it coaching 12 year old girls soccer. You can't say there is no bad guy here. RF borderline assaulted a fan. If he actually touched him then it is assault. He was screaming in his face pointing his finger. Make excuses all you want, but there is no excuse. RF lost all sense of what is right and wrong and attacked a fan.

Expectations are such that this season is a failure. Success can be a blessing and a curse.

I'm not disappointed at this point. There will still need to be some investigations done. I wouldn't want my boss to throw me under the bus without a full investigation. It's still just a day or two removed. That being said, anyone who was close to the situation would probably agree at a minimum a suspension is due and very borderline termination. RF lost control of himself and almost caused a huge fight. I never heard what SilverEagle said, but I knew it couldn't have warranted the response. That situation was unacceptable.

Jim, Don't go and make Emmitt's head explode. Give him time, he'll refute every statistic you can come up with.
