Disappointing that on a big basketball Saturday, both squads come up short.

We haven't sold out the Colesium in years. I'd say the typical crowd is 2,500 or so(it can seat almost 10K). Of course, I haven't been to a game in awhile since I now live out of state, so people that have more recent experiences correct me if I'm wrong.

So we lean on our guys to make the phone calls. It can happen. I mean none of these schools are basketball powerhouses...ever. We've all had some great seasons here and there, but seriously, it's not like SMU or TCU are steeped in tradition in basketball(like they are in football, even if that was ages ago). Hell UTEP has more basketball tradition than any school in Texas.

That sounds like agreat format 96! You should promote that to those in power.

Mom knew Coach Blakely rather well back in the day(was a beat reporter for the NT Daily). I grew up with stories of how great the man was.

You mentioned some classics. It's been 2 years since I've seen a game in the Colesium and it sounds like they haven't changed anything.

I thought Rosalyn's best seasons were her sophmore and senior ones. She was an excellent freshman though.

Well we DID graduate some terrific shooters. It sounds like now we have more of an inside presence than we used to.

I haven't seen Bobo play, but over the internet broadcast's I've been pretty impressed. Reades was a special player, but I'm not sure she was as good as a freshman as Erika is. This is of course, only going on what I hear.

As I said earlier, Slinker seems to be turning the squad around. They are growing up in front of us. We can still challenege for our side of conference.

He both dissed us and praised us in the same post. I don't know whether to be irriated or happy.

Nah not really...a 1pm start means they expect the game to be over around 3. Then a 30 minute warmup for the Ladies.

Every now and again there's an AP story about us in LA, but not too often.
