  1. Not necessarily with music. People can debate and discuss that without getting heated. The others...I generally agree with.
  2. No doubt you are a funny guy when you want to be. Maybe they mixed it up. Or maybe they harbor a grudge. I can't speak for them. The again, like you said...even if I tried they wouldn't read it anyways.
  3. Well I'd say probably so. Hard to say though because I don't know how the city would react if the Lakers were just lousy. This city is VERY Pro-Basketball overall though. I'd say it's probably the biggest sport out here. It probably has something to do with the Bruin dynasty and the Lakers historically being really good.
  4. This very well may be the move KU needed to keep Williams.
  5. That's about all the consistent posters there are on this forum.
  6. It's worse for me guys...I LIVE in Los Angeles. Last year was torture.
  7. I don't care who wins...as long as it's not the Lakers. I don't know if I can deal with everyone around here celebrating again.
  8. This year the first playoff series is also Best of seven.

    New Board

I'm thinking that may be the reason. Of course, there were some other random things that would get discussed in the "General" forum too. Like we had a few movie threads and what not. Those have no home now.
  10. Hard to say if it could match Bird and Magic. Those guys were arguably 2 of the top 4 players in the league as ROOKIES. I'm not sure either Anthony or James will be that good from the start.
  11. How about that, now we got a MG Job Board. Actually..2 new boards now.
  12. State Club...mmmmm loved that place. Of course I got food poisoning there once when as a freshman, but I forgave them.
  13. I'd pick Carmello...but that's me.
  14. Tuarasi is awesome, but I think Tennessee matches up well against Conneticut. Hell, they had an overtime game earlier this year.
  15. So who does everyone have tonight? I like the Vols to pull the upset.
  16. Even if Carmello leaves I say Syracuse is top 15 next season. The team I like next year? Michigan State(at least now). Advanced way further than they should've with a young squad. I like their defensive style of game. And they own the boards. The Spartans might be the best program in America right now year in year out.
  17. Either way Roy Williams can't go wrong. Those 2 schools are about as tradition rich as you get.
  18. No kidding. Trial by fire.
  19. It used to be played...got deep sixed in the late 70's if I recall correctly. From what I remember the coaches didn't wanna have to play a consolation game and pushed it through the NCAA. I'll have to try and find my book on the matter. I own a great reference book on college basketball that goes from Nasmith through 1992. I'll have to try and dig it up. Another note...the NIT used to be just as big a deal as the NCAA tourney...and even up until the late 70's/early 80's was still highly respected. Kind of a shame it isn't anymore.
  20. For the record, the Red Raiders didn't get to the Championship game of the NIT. They lost in the semi's(to Saint Johns) and won the consolation game.
  21. A really good game. Kansas's struggles at the line were heart wrenching. To shoot 12-30 from the line...in the FINAL?? There's no way they should've been that close with those kind of numbers. The Jayhalks impressed me a ton in defeat. What can I say about Syracuse. Great, great squad. Way more than a one man team(though Carmello IS special). They have a little bit of everything. I'm SO happy for Coach Boeheim too.
  22. To be honest, he reminds me more of Stalin as well. Score one for the Duck.
  23. It is wierd..the women lately have always played Friday/Sunday. I'm not sure why they switched this season.
  24. He *had* a pretty formidable military pre-91. I think it's safe to say it never fully recovered from the 38 days of carpet bombing in the Gulf War.
