The Belt is behind ya.

It's pretty doscouraging that the host school can't get out of the opening round in either the men's or women's bracket. The Belt will never have the tournament at NT again. <_

I also think another year or so in store. That said, if we don't show improvement next season I'm going to wonder if we should look for a new coach.

I was a big fan of Coach Jankovich. Sure we weren't winning 20+ games a year or anything, but we were always competitive. He wasn't around long enough to deserve being canned(especially since we were always around .500 and nearly made the NCAA once or twice). I think he'll be a very good one somewhere someday.

I doubt this year...perhaps next year he does.

I'll be at work during the game...but will listen to as much as I can. Maybe next year I can actually fly in for the thing. Hope the crowd is good....

I think the women make the tourney final before imploding. Guys probably lose to Denver.

Awesome signature Coach. Our basketball attendance always got my goat as a student. And yes - I know I haven't been to a game since 2001. I have a decent reason though.

SUMG Much like the Men's team the Ladies have had major ups and downs all year.

No better way to win that a buzzer beater. By the same token - they're losses that rip your guts out.

I wasn't able to listen either..but the box score does appear to tell the tale. Did the team just look uninspired?

Not sure where they rank among the all-time dynasties, but they're in the discussion now. The team is still fairly young. Don't be surprised if they have another one in the next couple of years. -
My impression via internet audio - if we play like that against anyone in the Belt other than ULL and WKU we win. Hope it's a sign.

Same drill as the women. Wasn't able to lsten to the game... From the box score it looks like we got off to a slow start and that's what ended up costing us the game. EDIT - Supposed to read USA as in South Alabama. Sorry guys...

Agree. Can the MG Radio Network not afford to send him a partner? It seems rather bizarre.

A really big W for Slinker and company. After the last couple of seasons a .500 record would be an improvement.

Big win for the guys. Hopefully this stops the bleeding. Our defense really stepped up.
