Things are defintely looking grim. I was at work during the game last night(so I couldn't listen to it), but I read the box score. Pretty ugly stuff. Thankfully IU looks down this year - in the past they MIGHT beat us by 50+.

When I was in school I rarely if ever missed a game. College basketball is my truest love and I hope to one day see the squad in the tourney. It'd be even better if they got sent to the West Region so I could see them play.

Upsets happen. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the Red Raiders, they'll probably flirt with another 20 win season. SMU might be better than you think, who knows? I was impressed the way TCU played Kansas tonight, even though the Jayhawks took it to them near the end. For much of the game the Frogs were toe to toe with #1.

I didn't see it of course, but a 10 point win over a NAIA school is a bit discouraging. Nonetheless, it's good to start off with a win. I'm still hoping for a .500 season this year.

I see it happen occasionally, but it is sorta rare for non conference teams to be scheduled more than once a season.

Not OUR season though. Three games on tap this evening... Marquette at St. John's Emporia State at Wichita State Memphis at Wake Forest Yeah baby...my favorite sport. College Hoops are here again.

Seriously..it's IU! The game should be a sellout. The last time a school with that kind of repuation visited the SuperPit was in the late 70's when Depaul played us.
