Plumm I'll be in town for Emmitt's wedding next month. It's funny I got Gettysburg when I was in town for another buddy's wedding 2 years ago...so it was in Texas. As far as G&G goes I just felt the film was really flat. It wasn't focused at all. Basically they bit off more than they could chew. Trying to cram in 2 years of the Civil War into one movie was a big mistake. There were too many stories the film tried to tell(and it didn't even tell those very well). I have nothing against Stonewall's religious fervor...it's how the guy was. I'm a bit of a CW buff, or at least I used to be, and I think that's what really irritated me about G&G. Was it historically accurate? Yes, very(for what they showed at least). But it didn't make you FEEL. Gettysburg really let you in to many of the Generals and other officers thoughts. G&G just didn't. I SOOO wanted to love the movie, and was bitterly disappointed. As for Fog of War I haven't seen it yet, but I'm a huge fan of Errol Morris. He's made some of the best documentaries ever, so I'll rent it here soon.

Gettysburg has actually been available for DVD for quite awhile. I got it about 2 years ago. Excellent movie, but unfortunately Gods and Generals was pretty poor.

I'd love a 20 win campaign, I'm just not sure about it. To be honest I wasn't terribly impressed with our recruiting class....or rather what they can bring NEXT year. I think we'll see more benefits 2 years from now. Most of our lineup from last season is back, but we did lose acouple of big contributors(like Johnson for example). I think .500 is a reasoanble goal. 20 wins would be about the absolute best we could be and 10 vicotories would be the worst case scenario. That's all from my view at least. BTW: it's nice to have a discussion about somthing other than conference realignment. That's one of the reasons I rarely go into the FB forum over the spring/summer.

I think we're looking at .500 next season. Since we're hosting the tourney - I think we have a punchers chance at getting into the field of 64(errr 65 now with the damned play in game).

He might not have had a choice but to kick him off the team. Administrators were probably breathing down Moon's neck. Who knows, OSU might straighten the kid out.

This is honestly garbage. No one can say who had the best class until about 2 years from now.

I felt like throwing up. We can't afford to be swept by anyone and think about holding off the Bombers. I am too scared of them to be satisfied with a 25 game lead. Nothing against the Rangers though.

Someone who can fit FT's would be nice. It's not good to know at the end of games that you're likely to be fouled because all you throw up are bricks from the line.

I'm a Mavs fan for the most part - but they're not my #1 squad. I've followed the Celtics since Larry Bird was there. I have memorbillia from their '86 Championship when I was all of 7 years old. But I did follow the Mavs during the lean years. I have a penant signed by the squad in 94-'95. I think that was the season they won 11 games.

My take is neither team will win on the road. The Kings in seven. Hiopefully the Mavericks prove me wrong.

I'm not really a Cowboy fan.... HOWEVER....I have to say I'd be happy with Julius Jones. He really impressed me this past season(even on a mediocre team). I think he'll fit very nicely in Dallas.

Well he could put on a bit of weight. I mean he won't be seeing the floor immediately. Let's hold on before we flunk this signee.

A very good hire for San Francisco. I hope these rumors of JJ being wooed by ULL are just that.

I will never rant on ESPN. Do they sometimes not show everything? Yes. But they are far and away the best. BTW: Fox Sports is National in a way. We have Fox Sports Southern California out here. Every region has their own Fox Sports net.

ROTFLMAO!! I actually kind of like it, because it was one of the logo's that was prominent when I was a freshamn. But the REAL reason I use it is back a year or so ago - nearly everyone was using one of about 5 avatars. I wanted to be distinguishable from the pack. Obviously no one was using this one.

Yep he's the one. Man, he played 3 years? I only remember him being around for 1 or maybe 2. Perhaps he didn't get alot of playing time - or I was the least observant man on the planet. A seven foot doctor would be a riot.

Not necessarily. You occasionally see a 7 footer end up at a less distinguished program. It's usually because they aren't exactly the most co-ordinated or refined player. They are projects. Actually back in '96 or so I believe we landed a 7 footer. He only stayed a season though.
