I'm sure there are folks at the other SBC schools that say the same thing. I don't care what conference you are in, 26 in a row is a big deal. When Coach Dickey first arrived on campus, I'll be honest, I was a hater. I was ready to run him out of town on a rail after his 2nd and 3rd seasons. However, winning 4 conference titles buys alot of slack from me. Are we having a dreadful season? Hell yes we are. We might tie the worst record we had under DD(that epic 2-9 1999 campaign). However, I don't have the sense of hopelessness that many around here seem to have. Even more I don't have the despair I did back then. Dickey does not deserve to be canned for having a down season. If we have this kind of year in '06 then yes - we need to seriously look for someone new. But not yet.

Yeah, USC is overrated - Fresno was #16 in the country, so they shoulda been blown out. I was AT the game. My first time in the Colesium. Awesome contest. Reggie Bush is UNBELIEVABLE. I mean he's so unreal in person it's not even funny. You can hear the entire crowd suck in it's collective breath every time he has the ball. Fresno State played a outstanding game. The SC fans were defintely worried. Speaking of, West Coast fans get a (justified) ribbing alot of the time, but the crowd was loud as hell. Seriously, one of - if not the loudest stadiums I've ever been in.

She had nearly a decade of losing seasons before that string of about 4-5 good years. If we were going to fire her that's when it should have happened. She's since struggled again. That good stretch bought her some leeway for me, HOWEVER I would agree that the leash should be somewhat short this season. If we're not .500 or so I'd seriously consider looking elsewhere.

Well...18 wins could ge into the NCAA, provided we get them at the right time(ie Sun Belt tournament).

I always thought Dickey would eventually goto Kansas State. Of course I didn't expect Snyder to step down for another 7-10 years. So there goes my theory.

Yeah right. I remember last year you thought OU would destroy SC. Now Texas could beat the Trojans. I'm starting to get tired of both sides saying the other sucks though.

North West? You flunk geography? The University of Southern California is not northwest.

We go thru this every year. The Pac 10 is weak, wait till they play a real team. USC could never beat the Big 10 Champion. Oh wait tell that to Michigan. Well, they could never beat the Big XII Champion. Wasn't OU called one of the best college teams ever? The Men of Troy blew their doors off. I do think Texas is terrific this year. Vince Young has been spectacular. But if I were them, I'd be more worried about the Horns losing and facing LSU in the title game.

Yep. Not real happy with the season, but 4 conference titles has to account for some thing. Worst conference in America or not. If we look like this next year, then I'll consider grabbing a pitchfork.

The Men of Troy toyed with California. Don't let the final score fool you. I watched alot of the game(also watched LSU/Bama). The Golden Bears got beat soundly.

Hard to listen to any defeat the Mustangs hand us. SMU 3 NT 0 Still, a great season.

We can hope. A powerhouse in basketball would increase our likelihood of jumping conferences. Despite all the hand wringing over FB this season, CUSA is still a BBall league first and foremost. Improving there(BB) is more important than FB in a jump of leagues.

I'm glad I didn't fork over the extra $120+ to change my plane fare to Homecoming weekend.

Yeah his secondary has been getting torched all season out here though.

I can see you follow the NCAA basketball tourney. In 1997, TN-Chattanooga Sweet Sixteen as a 14 seed. I believe that's the lowest seed to ever make the Regional Semi's.

Sounds promising. I'm thinking about going to the Arizona State game this year. So I hope we're competitive.
