SHU 39 -------- NT 32 16:52 to go Edwards heating up. We really need to keep them off the offensive glass - it seems like they've gotten half their points off of missed shot put backs.
-
SHU 33 -------- NT 24 Halftime We keep missing shots inside of five feet from the hoop. It's killing us. Catastrophic way to end the half.
-
SHU 21 -------- NT 19 4:00 to go It might be 23....their last basket is under review. Our offense seems to have gotten back on track after being locked down awhile.
-
SHU 16 -------- NT 14 7:34 to go We look all out of sorts. Gotta regroup.
-
NT 14 -------- SHU 8 11:50 to go Allen comes in and shores things up down low. Looking solid so far.
-
NT 8 -------- SHU 5 15:39 to go Pretty good start. Playing solid defense, but we have to work on the glass, because they're dominating there right now.

In Las Vegas because my wife has a work thing. They had a convention room with about 30 TV and projectors with games going yesterday when we got in that I only left when we went out for dinner. Pretty sweet set up. They won't have the NIT, so I'll be watching that from our room.

Biggest story of the day was Kentucky going down. Actually other than Tennessee, the SEC struggled.
-
I mean, SDSU did make the title game last year. I'd say the A-10 is pretty underrated too.

Dayton down 17, ends the game on a 24-4 run to win by 3.

Well, usually the better seeded teams hosts (unless they have a venue scheduling issue) in the NIT At least since the NCAA took it over about 15-20 years ago. When they began seeding they seeded the whole tourney, so the issue never came up like this. However, two years back they began only seeding the top 4 in each bracket, rather than all 8. So when two unseeded schools are against each other, I'm unsure of the current procedure.

In sumo culture, he'd be considered a promising up and comer.

I would hope we'd get it. I'm honestly not sure how they decide in a situation where two unseeded schools play each other.

Duquesne University in their first NCAA tourney in 47 years wins their first game in 55. Awesome stuff.
-
That's what can happen in the NIT though. Seems like every year someone can't host, or has to host in an off gym because most places don't set aside building use JUST IN CASE for NIT games.
-
LSU had a massive size advantage which they exploited the first time we played them. Not so much on Tuesday though.

I mean the best possible scenario for local interest would have been if Butler had made the Final. Even beyond Indiana State, Bradley remains in the tourney too. I'd actually like one of ISU or BU to make the semis at the very least to get a big crowd going. Last year only Utah Valley State was anywhere what you could call close by to Las Vegas and it hurt attendance.
-
So, do you want them to make the final or not? You seem to be arguing both.

Highlights from our last trip to the NIT 2nd Round.
-
Wow, early tip time!
-
I know once tomorrow starts, we'll he hard pressed to follow NIT games unless we're playing in them, but some good 2nd round matchups are in store. Bolded would be our opponent if we can get get through the Pirates. Boston College vs UNLV Wake Forest vs Georgia Virginia Tech vs Ohio State Indiana State vs Minnesota Bradley vs Cincinnati VCU vs South Florida Iowa vs Utah

I don't recall the exact number, but when Perry was here his shooting percentage in the last two minutes of a close game was ridiculously high (like 70+ percent). Hank used to bring it up all the time.

Yahoo has the game at 1pm EDT (10am here in the west). Not sure if that's gonna end up being correct, but I share nonetheless.

Okay, so two sources, that seems official then.
