I mean, other than as banter on the board about how we don't support our programs like we should, I doubt anyone outside of GMG cares what the official attendance was.
-
I mean, tough to look past Tennessee. That said, I'd give the Owls a decent shot if they face KSU. Should they make the regional final and play Michigan State, I'd give them less of a chance. Izzo is unbelievable in the tournament with only one day to prepare (25-7).

And yet, eleven leagues represented in the Sweet 16 points to the fact that no matter how much the Big Boys may dominate the at-larges, the concentration of power is only on the surface..

We had the potential, but frankly so do many teams. I usually think there are about ten schools that are above the field, but not THAT far above. Then another group of 12-15 slightly behind that who can easily those in the top group, but aren't consistent enough to be included in the top. Then after the top 20-25, there's a mass of at least 60-70 schools that are capable of getting hot and beating anybody for a couple of weeks, but probably couldn't do so on a night in, night out, basis for a month or more. The tournament has blowouts, sure. But it also shows, almost annually, there's not a cavernous gap between the top and everyone else.

I thought this was a pretty good breakdown about how diverse the remaining squads are and what shapes up as a great final two weeks. https://www.si.com/college/2023/03/20/sweet-16-breakdown-new-blood-schools-older-players

Well, 6 of the quarterfinalists played yesterday so multiple teams were gonna have to play Sun/Tue. Just wish we weren't included.
-
I wish we had one of the Wednesday games so Mac and the staff had more time to gameplan.

Tennessee's style is actually bruising. Plus their PG is out.
-
Watching on TV it appeared slightly more full than that. It was definitely less than Wisconsin and Vandy for sure. Both of those schools 2nd round games seemed pretty near capacity.
-
Doesn't feel like quite as crazy a day as yesterday, but some really good games nonetheless. Also great to see FAU advance. Dare I say they'll give Tennessee problems? Especially if they play a little full court defense.
-
Even if we had a 6K seat arena, that'd be a lousy number for this game.

Better fix the date @greenminer
-
That's one of my favorite Michael Scott-isms.
-
I was waiting on the date was official to make the thread. I didn't think OSU looked that great today to be honest. We'll have to play well, but we can definitely defeat them.

NT 75 -------- SHSU 43 3:57 to go Aaron Scott fouled out. That might be the only bad thing that's happened today.
-
NT 68 -------- SHSU 38 7:47 to go Still rolling along. Like I said earlier, I hope we bottle some of this for our trip north.
-
NT 68 -------- SHSU 33 10:15 to go What can one say....this is just amazing basketball.
-
NT 59 -------- SHSU 29 14:09 to go I think this is the best game we've played all season. Hope some of it stays with us in Stillwater.
-
NT 45 -------- SHSU 26 16:46 to go We pushed the lead to 25 early on this stanza. Bearkats now pushing back a bit.
-
LOL, I'd be thrilled to be wrong. But a few people said on Senior night he was taking it all in like it was his finale.
-
My assumption is this is his final year.
-
NT 38 -------- SHSU 19 Halftime Well, that was a tremendous half of basketball. Hank and Dave are over the moon right now. 😁
-
NT 33 -------- SHSU 16 3:39 to go Perry is in the midst of a legendary final game at the Super Pit.
