  1. NT 27 ---------- OSU 22 Halftime Both teams missed some easy shots, but mostly this is just a defensive slugfest....which favors us.
  2. NT 25 ---------- OSU 20 4:00 to go Keeping our nose ahead. Our defense really up in their face.
  3. NT 20 ---------- OSU 17 7:47 to go Our three point shooting is really good tonight.
  4. NT 15 ---------- OSU 11 11:17 to go Game has settled more into our kinda pace.
  5. NT 11 ---------- OSU 9 15:13 to go A lot of early offense.
  6. I agree, but we can't even average 4K in a season when we won 25+ games.
  7. Bradley loves their basketball.
  8. I would think if Bradley ends up winning, that they'd have a decent amount of fans in Indianapolis. They're a small school, but they have a good basketball tradition. It's only about three hours away and I could see plenty of BU grad even living there.
  9. The Braves look good early on.
  10. I have to be honest, I didn't really expect to get rumors like this about Hodge unless/until he made an NCAA Tournament.
  11. While I agree with you they should have tried - you do realize that United Arena probably has a way bigger staff than the Super Pit does. What takes them a couple of hours would probably take us twice as long.
  12. Not as good as back when we were playing Texas Tech in football in 2000. We were trailing like 13-0 at the time, and I turned to everyone around me and said "Interception returned for a touchdown." Literally the very next play that's what happened. I swore off trying to really predict plays after that since I was a legend at that point. It became such a gag that it still gets trotted out amongst a few of my friends to this day whenever I'm in town.
  13. They also have a good basketball tradition going back decades.
  14. SMU on January 22nd, 1977.
  15. Hey, don't tell me to plan ahead...I'm not defending anyone. I'm not even saying that's exactly what happened, just my best guess of what the major issues are. The facilites people don't really work in academia. That's like saying janitors on campus work in academia. I mean they SORTA do, but not.
  16. I'm not defending anyone. I'm literally saying what the likely cause was. I have no ins with anyone who works facilities at the Super Pit, but my guess is that unlike pro stadiums that frequently work overnights on rush schedules to clear floors, etc. that the folks at the Super Pit rarely, if ever, do. They may not even get everyone to agree to work last minute. The staff probably will leisurely set up for the luncheon on Tuesday afternoon and put the finishing touches up that morning, rather than pulling some sort of all nighter breaking down the basketball floor and then rolling out whatever nonsense they would have to do for the staff appreciation event.
  17. I mentioned this hours ago, even before we found out what day the game would be. One...they didn't know when the game would be scheduled Tuesday or Wednesday. But they had to tell the NIT if they could host or not not knowing the day. Also, playing Tuesday night they'd have to likely pay a staff overtime to clear everything out and set everything up for the next morning.
  18. My mom went into Labor with my brother at that game (born just after midnight on the 23rd). She stayed till halftime before Pop got her to leave.
  19. We did once....in 1977.
  20. Stanford goes down which means Oklahoma State is the last power conference school standing.
  21. They aren't the only one this has happened with, it was just the first that came to mind. I seem to remember another school couldn't host a few years ago because their arena was rented for a rock concert. Kentucky had to go on the road once because Rupp was being used for the NCAA Tournament. There have been others.
  22. I mean, Dayton wasn't able to play at home despite being a 1 seed. Our reason for not hosting sucks, but it's not that unusual for schools to have other stuff scheduled.
  23. I know there used to be more in depth video highlights, but for a little stroll down memory lane... The last time we were in the NIT Quarterfinals we ALSO played OSU.
  24. If the students got in for free, that's probably right for the NIT. Some coaches in the past have bought the tickets for the students so they could get in for free, but if we're still just letting them in during the tournament - they likely don't count them as attending since the NCAA gets a cut.
