I don't have a good feeling, but I also don't think we're completely outclassed. I give us a 35% chance of winning.

Potentially I suppose. But I do remember when Ryan made the State Final when I was at NT back in 2000 or so, and I felt very little buzz in town for it. Certainly not like your South Lake Carrol's of the world, who always had great fan support even when they only had like 10K total residents. I graduated the following year and moved, so it very well may have improved once they began to win consistently, but I never saw it.

It went on for way more than a couple of years. I believe it was first done by LongJim, and I thought it was so funny I stole it for awhile.

I mean does Denton? I feel like the city didn't even support the high school teams like they should have when I was a kid. Granted, it's been eons since I regularly attended HS sports in Denton given I don't live there any more, but I doubt it's changed that much.

Not sure what is the root cause, but it's absolutely a culture problem. Basketball should be averaging 5-6K fans a game, with 7-9K for big ones given how good we've been the last few years. We can't even come close to selling out a football game against a Pac-12 school. Both my parents went to NT and I grew up in Denton. The lack of fan support from the community (University and city) is still unbelievable to me after decades.

I guess the chart shows you should go for two there, but I never think you should until under about 6-8 minutes. I have seen too many games where that extra point you threw away comes back to haunt you. -

If we can escape with a win, just focus on that and hope we improve next week. -
Just about every successful coach ever has probably felt similar to this early in their tenures when things go wrong and people doubted them. It's just your Bear Bryant's didn't have twitter to vent on. He blew off some steam, I'm not gonna worry about it and nobody else really should either. That said, now we have "receipts" if things don't improve because you know if they don't this tweet will live in infamy.

Okay, so a rather pedestrian program like we had in the Jankovich era - akin to our football team the last few years. If the idea is we go from average to horrendous, the comparison should still be Trilli.
-
Funny how Benford keeps getting the ire, when Trilli is also sitting out there. Benford was awful, but Trilli's era was truly mind blowingly bad...worse than anything else I've experienced as a NT fan.

Took me awhile to find it. He didn't break as many tackles as much as I remembered as much he just carried tacklers into the end zone. Still kinda similar to the Cal kid though.
-
Reminds me of a run Texas A&M had against OU about 20 years or so ago. The Aggie back broke through about 5 or 6 tackles.
