I was just about to make this thread. LSU really struggled last season. Not sure if that means a damn thing this year, but on paper I think we should be favored.

Winning a round in the NCAAs and taking an NIT title in the last three seasons points to quite a bit of potential. I mean, maybe not Final Four potential, but Sweet 16 potential for sure.

We make a lot of teams look terrible with our defense. Other fanbases don't give us credit for that, but our own fans should.

We went from down one to down eleven. Obviously we eventually took the lead after that, but it was a huge swing and took us a lot of effort to overcome it.

I feel like every time we drove to the bucket, St. Johns threw it back in our face.

We had two chances with Scott to take the lead in the last minute. That's who you want, just didn't make it. Great effort, but it definitely feels like one we could have stolen.

Things are falling apart now. I feel like ever since Sissoko's miss when we were down one the game has gotten away from us.

SJU 45 ----- NT 38 6:17 to go Going down low and getting our last couple of shots rejected has taken some wind out of our sails.

SJU 39 ----- NT 38 7:48 to go This is our kinda game - we're making them play the way we like to. Sissoko's blown layup is gonna give me nightmares if we end up losing this one by a bucket.

SJU 37 ----- NT 34 11:45 to go Defense is playing very well, but turnovers are killing us on offense. We might be up six if we could hold onto the ball.

SJU 30 ----- NT 20 Halftime I like the way our defense played overall, but we are really struggling to put the ball in the basket ourselves. Going to have to figure out how to get some open looks.

I guess I'll take that I keep things simple as a compliment. There's a lot of strategy and tactics in basketball, but at the end of the day it's a pretty simple sport IMHO. And though analytics are involved, I don't think it's completely taken over to the point where it's almost ruined it like in baseball. That said, I enjoy reading more in depth coverage by others.
