At this point? Probably. There seems to be no realistic shot for us to get in the NIT now.

Hopefully the crowds don't flee after the disappointing result today.

Usually the NIT champ is among "others receiving votes" on the last poll. We did last season!

It's also not really true that the winner of the NIT is the 69th best team. Not that the various computer metrics and what not are the be all end all, but the NIT champ routinely outranks a fair number of NCAA tourney teams in those. The NIT champ is typically probably somewhere between 40-50. Sure that's not National Champ, but there are like 350 teams that play DI basketball, so it ain't chopped liver either.

I'm not saying he's not our best player, but he hasn't shown the ability to hit the big shot when we need it at the end. Some guys hit that shot being double or triple teamed. He hasn't yet, so if he's being the whole teamed teamed like he has been - then pass out of it and let option two hit that shot

Fair or not players who come up big in the big moments live forever. Some guys are truly great at it and others aren't. I mean there's a reason Robert Horry, who was just a decent player, is remembered as a legend by multiple fanbases.

I'm not criticizing our band. I feel like just about all of them are less visible/audible than they used to be and I miss it.

Then I miss them actually being used.

I miss pep bands, gotta say.

I know it was a scramble situation, but that was a terrible last second shot. Surely we could have had a backup plan if that was the first option.
