The Mean Green broadcast always does. I guess it's not technically just KNTU, but I always use that moniker.

I think we can be competitive in football, with perhaps a chance to end up in the 12 team playoff (if they actually keep to the rule that allows the highest G5 champ in) every so often. Basketball gives schools like ours a better chance for national recognition though, it's just a fact. The question is can we take advantage of it. We're trying to, but a big part that is missing is still consistent fan support. Crowds like tonight should be standard. Even Coach Hodge said as much in the postgame show.

We had two NCAA tourney appearance under Coach Jones that have also been within the last 20 years. Remember after Jones left people expected our program to keep humming. We had the Benford debacle that lasted four years, but now we're back on track.

I'd say in the last 20 basketball has more recognition. More people nationally follow the NCAA Tournament than know who wins Bowl games outside of the big ones...and we had two other NCAA trips in the last 20 years. So three trips, one win since 2007. Trilli has been gone since 2001. Johnny Jones had us compete well for a good stretch and we had some good teams. Obviously he never won a NCAA Tourney game or the NIT, but he did have success. We have banners hanging from his years.

Eight of nineteen from the charity stripe isn't gonna get it done - but it's also very out of character for us. The fact that we won despite that is super impressive.

Hamstring injuries can be really nagging. I don't wanna go too big into stressing out, but I've seen players deal with them for a whole season and never be 100%.

Not even sure who I'd give the game ball to tonight. It was really a team win - about five guys have a case for it to be honest.

As of about three or four seasons ago a jump ball doesn't reset the shot clock if the offensive teams gets it because they felt it punishes the other team for playing great defense.
