I give the FAU game a pass because even though we led most of the game, I was never comfortable. There were stretches tonight where I thought we were gonna blow UAB out. This is one of the most disappointing losses of recent vintage.

I'm actually surprised we don't get pressed more.

We really need this one before the losing stretch gets out of control. And it comes against a school leading the AAC. Hopefully our fans show up -- need a big crowd.

Yeah, don't remind me. They're tied for first.

I want a closeup of the baseline out of bounds with 6.7 seconds...I really thought the UAB kid's toe was on the line and it should have been our ball.

NT 43 -------- UAB 34 16:00 to go The first four minutes was even on the scoreboard, but it feels like UAB is primed for a run. We don't seem nearly as sharp to me.

I had an eye on that score too.

NT 35 -------- UAB 26 Halftime Quality for the good guys. Pretty nice student turnout.

NT 33 -------- UAB 21 2:01 to go Blazers finding some offense, but we still have a nice lead.

NT 26 -------- UAB 12 5:58 to go On a nice 7-0 run. Playing our kind of game.

NT 19 -------- UAB 12 7:08 to go I feel like we're really frustrating the Blazers. They're throwing up a lot of sorry looking shots.

I wouldn't even consider than DFW. It's good if you can make many games.

The team does need more fans in stands. There are hundreds of thousands of alums and 40K students that all live close by that don't give a crap. Telling folks that might live hundreds or thousands of miles away but follow UNT religiously that they aren't fans is counter productive. Especially when many of those same people send in checks to the school.

I think the vast majority of us have been to road and home games in our lifetime (especially when we were students at North Texas - or before like myself given both my parents went to NT and I grew up in Denton, I attended many games as a kid). 🙂 On the rare occasion we play relatively close to here, I go (like say the NIT Final - Vegas is a 6 hour drive). If people move away from DFW, it doesn't suddenly make us less of fans that we rarely attend games.

Wow bro. I've been following the team basically since birth given both my parents also went to NT. Hell, my dad was a letterman in Track and Cross Country and Mom wrote for the NT Daily. If you wanna pay my airfare and hotel rooms and rental cars from Los Angeles to Dallas and Denton every game, feel free, or somehow let me get all that free time to begin I'd love for you too. Even better if you can pay for my wife to to come and let her out of work too! 🙂 You do realize it's further from Los Angeles to Denton than it is from Denton to Charleston. Hell, it is as close from Dallas to Brooklyn as it is from LA to Dallas. So, you're seriously asking me to make that trip for every game otherwise I'm a casual fan? Okay.
