  1. I think Hodge is going to be just fine.
  2. We are NOT getting into the NIT.
  3. Not sure why you included the 1980 program - Houston was in the Southwest Conference by then. If you have to go back 65 years to the last time we shared a league with the Cougars, it's safe to assume most of us weren't following sports back then.
  4. Okay, haven't been in the same league since the Korean War era.
  5. Even for the FAU game, the crowd was sparse looking on TV when compared to most leagues like ours. Speaking of FAU, they fell to last four in in nearly every projection I've seen this morning. That means they very likely could get booted. Geez, if Temple wins today what a catastrophic tournament this will have been for the league.
  6. Remind me again why we care about Houston? Never been in the same conference, we play each other like once every hundred years, and you are hours away from Denton geographically. Y'all have a great team, but I don't see UNC fans coming on our board to talk about how great they are. If they did though, I would give them crap about losing to NC State.
  7. I was onboard with Mac from the beginning, but it doesn't mean that we didn't have struggles. The first season showed so much promise and year two started off so well that it was pretty devastating when we floundered the second half of the campaign.
  8. Yeah, I actually wouldn't be stunned if FAU were left out to be honest. Quad 4 losses are brutal.
  9. We struggled down the stretch of Mac's first two years. Year two we started out like 15-1 before limping to the end.
  10. The geography of the league is such that I wouldn't even how there the center would be. Tennessee?
  11. I wouldn't say that - quite a few teams have been able to trip them up in recent years. :)
  12. All kidding aside, I do think Houston has a decent shot to win the whole thing, but the betting favorite HAS to be Connecticut. Even though the Cougars were ranked #1, the Huskies have been the best team all season, bar none. Plus they're defending champs. I'm not saying they're unbeatable, and given I'm sure everyone will have them in their brackets I may go for someone else given crazy stuff happens every year, but when they're on no one can beat them.
  13. I think most assumed they were gonna get blown out the last three games!
  14. Iowa State wasn't challenged. I woulda thought Houston woulda put up a bigger fight than that. I believe that's more or less how Cougar King gloated earlier.
  15. Yikes, that last possession.
  16. I cannot believe Temple right now. It's gonna be infuriating if they win the conference tournament and are stuck with a terrible seed. FAU needs to come back or UAB needs to beat them tomorrow.
  17. Temple with a 7-0 run because of a lame flagrant on FAU. I have the inkling Temple is gonna take this. Feels just like their last two games.
  18. Duquesne advances to the A-10 Final. They haven't been to the NCAA Tournament wince 1977, so I hope they win tomorrow.
  19. Because the first game went over by like 30 minutes.
  20. Well, if FAU wins the second game it'll be a rematch of last year's CUSA title.
  21. This has been a crazy game. Rough play...big runs (some almost solely at the free throw line)...technical fouls...you name it
  22. If I recall, Mac had also scuffled down the stretch his one season at ASU. Some were concerned that was starting to be a trendline with his teams.
  23. USF is serious trouble at the half.
  24. They're automatically giving preference to teams in the Power Leagues (something the NIT hasn't done since the NCAA took it over). Twelve spots are gonna be taken over by those leagues before any other schools are selected.
