He was referencing the time that Dusty Dvoracek [sp?] claimed his getting drunk and throwing a friend through a wall as a medical condition...and got an extra year of eligibility. That was the same year that Zac Muzzy was turned down.

Seeing as how nimble the tackles need to be in teh TD offense, I was waiting for Jenkins and Hollivay to end up at guard. I think that is where they will end up at.

The box score shows that Cobbs had 5 yards on two carries; and one tackle (special teams).

I've gotta disagree here. I understand your point is that folks are having trouble with our little ole athletic department trying to grow up. However, if they are gonna try and act grown up; then they should be able to disseminate accurate information through to the public. So why is it that the SID didn't have the right info to pass along? I think most folks would be happy with being informed (regardless of what the answer is); though everyone hopes that the practices will be open....but it seems very bush-league to publish a practice schedule a couple of weeks ago (Vito had to get his info somewhere); and then change your mind. There was plenty of time to issue an update, but the department failed to. Most importantly: RV indicated in the podcast that if we as customers do not feel we have a pleasant experience; to contact him. So to those that tried to attend practice and couldn't I would suggest sending our AD a polite, well constructed email explaining your view of the situation. These are pretty straightforward questions to answer (since this is the 2nd year in a row that there has been a communication error).

Vito indicates that the loss of Gilmore and Horton will hurt on the field. But will both of them hurt the APR? I wouldn't think that Horton would count against UNT.

There are few times that the power of a message board can really make a difference; but I think finding volunteers to help with this would be something we should be able to do (since the Talons can't/won't). I think this would be like when someone (I belive you Emmit) organized a drive to hang the football posters around Denton a few years ago. We should be able to provide RV and Co with people to hand out flyers, man booths etc.

They key (in my mind) is to make sure to compare our O-line against their D-line (and vice versa). I like how our O-line stands up. It is the D-line that concerns me. Just seems light (especially at teh ends).
