Noper, it is Dodge's offense. When they switched coaches several years ago they asked TD to come to Missouri to install his offense there. That was the same time they recruited Daniels to come run the thing. Link They have modified it, but that is the TD offense.c

Correct Incorrect. Have you seen the secondary? They are an improved group even without any help from the D-line. TD's running backs looks better than last year too. The O-line looks much imp[roved as well. The kicking game looks improved as well. DD's best OOC results are comparable to TD's OOC results during a rebuilding process. My point: we are getting better. Rebuilding is a lot like sausage. Everyone loves the results but no one wants to see what goes into making it. Gonna have to be patient.

I just finished watching the 1st qtr (gonna finish later). Here's my thoughts: TD and Co. went toe-to-toe with the National Champs for a full qtr. DD's team were notorious for getting blown out early and then running out the game clock. Hill had a nice interception. But rewind to the line of scrimmage. A blitzing linebacker flushed Hatch out to Charlie Brown; who forced a hurried throw. That is a glimpse of our future, if we can get consistent D-line play. The LSU quarterback only once had to move around. Our D-Line play sucked. We need some lineman to grow up, get mean...something. That is where we are deficient. Period. We trapped Trendon Holliday on a end around. We contained 11th fastest man in America. That is disciplined defensive play. Their special teams players are fast; real fast. Lance Dunbar displayed the kind of acceleration I haven't seen since the last time we played Colorado (yeah, he reminded me of #20). Vizza had really, really good protection against a stout defensive LSU line, Vizza to Dibrell and Fitz are really good. I now understand why we pulled Riley's redshirt. None of our other 43 receivers have decided to be a play maker yet. One of them will have to step up soon. I was realyl impressed with how they have played so far. I am feeling really upbeat.

I bet he would beat out Mangino and Fulmer for the swimsuit competition title.

I gotta call you out for this one. If you want him to stop writing about blowouts, then we should stop getting blown out. He covers the team, which means that he may not always write things that we like (since we haven't had team success in nearly 5 years). What was negative in the write-up? Three straight blow-outs isn't negative: IT"S THE TRUTH. Don't shoot the messenger because our team hasn't played very well. Harry's blog made some of the exact same point; where's your post criticizing Harry's ability to blog in a manner that doesn't set you off? What about the Associated Press, they mentioned all the yards we gave up? What about the FWST, I am sure they mentioned all the punt return yards?

Here's my football ignorance: How much different can Deloach's 4-3 be from the uber-basic 4-3 from last year for a defensive end? Isn't his job to physically maim the guy in the backfield? How much different can the scheme be?
