  1. Stebo - It was my understanding that LJ has retained a marketing firm to examine Dickey's playbook. They may even have formed a comittee to examine how the playbook relatesx to the promotion of the law school.
  2. posted yesterday
  3. I live in Palmdale, which is just northeast of Los Angeles (NE of Santa Clarita).
  4. Please keep us posted, as I know there are several of us out here (myself and wife included).
  5. I found this on the official website today: link
  6. uh, I live just north of Los Angeles; and I have already seen it. Not real pretty to see the 'big 3' staring at you as you pull up to the pump.
  7. If my computer simulation predicted SMU to be 8-3, I would double check the software. Seriously, if SMU drastically improves this year, that will only add fuel to our 2006 game with them.
  8. It was Branch. There was no call, as he didn't call for a fair catch.
  9. The question is about away games; that is true for home games. In the past you have had to pay retail (or almost) for those tickets. You can buy them through the UNT ticket office.
  10. So what does the rest of the 'belt say when lamenting the fact that they will face Thomas and Cobbs?
  11. So from what I have read: most division 1 colleges and just about every high school has an indoor practice facility; however until this last year the Dallas Cowboys did not. That tells me thta an indoor practice facility is a luxury, and a luxury that we cannot afford (righ now).
  12. Well, if we are going to define the media as a group of people that collect information fo rthe purpose of reporting to others; then you should be fine; as long as youi promise to report to us what happened (preferably with pictures).
  13. I lived in the dorms from 1997-2000; and was not listed as being affected.
  14. Right aftert a certain city in North Texas received a last place designation, a certain college's football team started winning conference games; and went to the first bowl game in many decades. Around the same time, that same university started spending inordiante amounts of money with one marketing firm, that has since become the exclusive marketing firm of the university....and even though that university's football team continues winning, that marketing firm continues to take credit for increased attention or noteriety of that university. I would suspect that winning football games, and scheduling regional opponents attributed to the largest (at the time) football crows in the school's 100+ year history.
  15. I hope they don't need the opinion of a writer to motivate them. I hope that they will be motivated by all those displays of offensive prowess that we saw last year (Colorado, USM, Balyor). CFN is ranking our unit based on turnover, last year's performance, amongst other things. The biggest difference being that we as fans are counting on the potential of unproven players (please keep in mind that potential is the stuff you've never done).
  16. This aspect is new, I guess the Outlaws' fundraisning isn't going as well as first reported.
  17. So that means that you lost no less than 10 of Plum's polls.
  18. Well hell; it sounds like they've almost got this wrapped up.
  19. Can someone name the last big wrong decision that Wright Waters made? No, becuase he has done a very good job guiding this conference. Remember, this is about TV, not football. What will sell better to TV? Maybe, if we would like to be on TV more, we should upset an OOC opponent...that seemed to draw exposure to Troy and they didn't even win the conference last year.
  20. I am very impressed that the conference's coaches are that impressed with Branch's athletic skils to make the transistion to defensive back. These are the predictions of talent evaluators.
  21. I don't think we are. I think most of us are just pissed that one of the academic casulites happened to be the quarterback who got the majority of the spring snaps; and was the penciled-in starter for LSU. I think most folks have a pretty good grip on the academic success other athletes have.
  22. Twodogs - while I agree with the sentiment of your point, it is 4 players who couldn't maintain a GPA of 1.9 (or 1.8?). That means that those 4 players couldn't maintain a "C" average. For the most part, its not real hard to make a "C" in a college course. Especially since some of these guys are underclassmen; and should be taking general courses (history, english, lit, etc) Now, if those 4 are physics majors, and couldn't make thier grades in General Relativity or Quantuum Physics... then I am greatly mistaken.
  23. Coming out of high school, he had 10.4 - 100 meter speed. Even if he has lost a step by adding weight, I would suspect that he's still pretty fast, no matter what position you are talking about.
  24. With an inexperienced front 4; and so many linebackers..has DD mentioned playing more 3-4 to take advantage of an obvious strength?
  25. Knowing how current administration handled the branding thing; I can't imagine how underhanded the selection for Pohl's replacement will be. My money's on John Fullingham <_<
