  1. That has been the trademark of UNt football for a while: exceptional talent overcomes poor coaching and gametime adjustments.
  2. The TV announcers indicated he had "tweaked" his hamstring.
  3. You might post the email address where you sent it; in case anyone else has a problem with CSC's employees.
  4. While attending UNT, I noticed a trend in the engineering department: none of my professors were researching under State/Federal Grants, or even working with private companies. My point is that I think that to some degree, the school can choose its own destiny. We have access to the same Federal funds that UT does, but we don't pursue these dollars as vigoriously as they do. There's just not a lot oy money in art and jazz; and for a long time we have been very happy pursuing mainly those academic areas. So not only write your lawmakers; write the academic leaders of UNT.
  5. Los Angeles shouldn't have a pro team. If multiple franchises have failed in a city; they shouldn't be given a 4th chance.
  6. One of the things I miss most since leaving Texas (and some good Bar-b-que).
  7. He'll probably be asked to hold DD's Diet Coke also.
  8. From Merriam Webster, alumnus: Simply put, alumus is singular, alumni is plural. Since the survey spoke to just one of us, it would be alumnus. They got this one right.
  9. For anyone who griped about the logos (and I did), this is an oppurtunity to participate in the process. Please take that oppurtunity.
  10. From ESPN:
  11. The 70k is very expensive, but the UT program is ranked very high nationally. That 70k alos includes the fact that they put you up in a hotel for a weekend (the program meets in a hotel in grapevine one weekend a month). I have never heard of UNT's program being ranked with UT, Carnegie Melon, or the other heavy hitters in the MBA world.
  12. The point that he was trying to make is that at 1 pm they have alrady been "tailgating" for about 19 hours, so what's the difference? Restricting the LSU drunk to only 18-ish hours of tailgating probably won't make a difference. Now forfeiting a game on account of that drunken white trash; that might have an effect.
  13. I guess this is just some more of that LSU hospitality that they keep telling us about.
  14. Every season there are a couple of things that you can count on: bashing Dickey's playcalling, and posting copyrighted ESPN Insider information. Harry ought to just add his warnig to his signature.
  15. Maybe ESPN sees through the smokescreen that is Cal football. Unfortunately I have had an oppurtunity to see them several times, and was not that impressed.
  16. I understand the point your trying to make, but the part that you failed to mention is who backs up these players now. I think we are set at running back, with Robertson to bulk up to back up Jamario. I am still waiting for Davidson to make an impact as a pass catching tight end, we have lots of blocking tight ends. Lineberry will hurt. So one of the youngsters will have to step up. We lost May last year, and that forced Foster and Linebetty to arrive. The question will be if anyone can step forward to fill those two spots. There is no way that Quinn leaves after this year. He will need a sophomore quarterback to help improve his draft status. **No, I am not apologinzing for any OOC losses.**
  17. DD usually palys 5 lineman, and one tight end; that means that you have asked them to block at most 5 defenders. If they are playing 8 men in the box, that leaves 3 un-blocked defenders on every play. No matter how well our O-line blocks, the field must be spread out. To get those defenders away from the line of scrimmage. That starts with the Qb, and the play calling.
  18. Hell, hopefully this will be a key retention tool; keeping quarterbacks and D-tackles eligible.
  19. I think the worst part was watching the shots of little Danny Snyder dancing around in his box suite.
  20. I sat in the first quarter wondering if the missed field foal was gonna come back and haunt them, and sure enough...
  21. It sounds like the bell is about 10,500 pounds to light to be allowed out there. Damn thing needs some ballast.
  22. I say Phillips, put him in and make every passing attempt a 40 yard post to JQ. He will come down with those jump balls more often than not; might even draw a penalty.
  23. The only part that I am surprised about is that the best running back on the team barely has more carries than James Mitchell....if we are being fed the "whoever has the hot hand" BS, then why didn't we see Jamario when no one had a hot hand?
  24. DD will never solve penalties, his teams have always played undisciplined. I would ask that if he's not gonna play Jamario, could he at leat red-shirt him?
