Just got my Texas Football delivered. Somethign that I have notcied over the last three is a pattern when they analyze the universities' graduating classes. And that is that the class was ranked very low intially, but when they review the graduates, they rank very high. This is the third year in a row where the graduating class ranks 4-6th in the state, but ranked dead last upon being recruited. That tells me something: UNT takes recruits, and develops them into football players.

Football can't seem to get here fast enough. It's so bad that I just turned on the Rock, Paper, Scissors Championship.

I disagree here, as I think the move to the 3-4 hinges upon his success at the outside linebacker position. I also believe that the DL Patton will be a huge impact as a freshman. And the kid Drake will make an impact on the OL.

Is there a form letter that people use for questions for Wright Waters? There are two questions that are asked every month: adding a 2nd bowl game; and football conference expansion. Could someone forward this month's reponse to all the WKU and TSU fans and alumni so that they will stop beating Wright Waters down every month? Thanks

Well, finally finished. Didn't see anything green, UNT or otherwise. Come to think of it, I need to have the bottom of the toilet bowl painted with the SMU logo. That way I can express my true feelings about them whenever nature calls.

On what map is Denver closer than the state of Louisianna? Travel costs may only be moderatley more expensive for basketball; but they would shut down UNT atheltics for the costs associated with WAC football. Stebo posted some excellent cost predictions about UNT in the WAC; it makes no sense for us.

Maybe we ought to adpot the IRS's system. I have moved several times; and they manage to find me everytime. (if they can email me with updates; then they could find a way to email me to solicit contact information or donations)

I'd bet money that somehow it turns out to be on of those other kids (who don't play for UT). Another fine UT runnign back: Ricky Williams, Cedric Benson, and now Ramonce Taylor.

Virtually every Vic Trilli team. Those were some of the most talented individual players I have ever seen (Erskin, Miller, etc)...but it takes more than just talented players to win games. Lets hope these talented players can be coached to become a team.

The Doak Walker award is for the best collegiate running back. And being a great college player at any position doesn't not guarantee a transistion to the next level. THe Doak Walker Award is not about NFL potential, so I have to disagree: that comittee was wrong then, and is still wrong.

Several things I haven't seen mentioned: 1. McNair will count 23.5 million towards the caop this year; that's a lot. 2. Volek is very well thought of in this league; the Titans weren't even entertaining offers on him.

Good post, very interesting. Isn't that what the board admins are for? A little button is on the left of every post, and it exists to report postst that are in poor taste, or out of line; maybe we should all do a better job of policing this board for posts that go over the line; as I think we all have a pretty good idea where the line is or isn't (would you repeat the post to your mother?).

I remember one of UNT's fastest players ever: Broderick McGrew. Just was never real consistent catching the ball. My point is that sometimes a player has all the tangibles, and sometimes they are just football players (see Phillip Armour or Brad Kassell, 2 examples of football players).

I think you have drastically over-simplified the quarterback position. That is the hardest postion to replace. If a Qb doesn't emerge, the power of the OL won't matter; as 5 lineman can't block 8 defenders (as some UNT lineman).
