  1. We've been without a Chancellor for sometime now.
  2. Can't anyone contribute to wikipedia? I think you may have hit on something. Maybe some of yall who have been around a little longer can create some entries for wikipedia. Google searhces would hit those things for sure. It'd be very educational for alot of us.
  3. Here's the 2004 Highlight video that I put together awhile back. These might do ya' for awhile.
  4. No, though it appears as if Oklahoma, LSU and other large schools were recruiting him. It could be harder to admit that DD played his hand perfectly. DD has shown several times now that he can kind palyers that contribute immediately after signing day. Please see the resume of Aaron Weathers as proof.
  5. Do you understand college recruiting? If so, then you realize that this was not a UNT vs Chaldron State recruiting battle. Obviously this kid wanted to go somewhere where a school would foot the bill for his education, and Chaldron State stepped forward...until UNT used one of their unused 'ships on him. So, that would mean that DD played his cards very wisely; securing a top talent at a need position. And that UNT looked atractive enough to nab some top talent. We just need to hope that he shows up to camp, and be appreciative that we may filled a big hole.
  6. When you mix mentos and Diet Coke
  7. There's always the 2008 presidential elections.
  8. Here's a game I saw on another board, and it goes lie this: I post a football related topic. The next person then indicates a "buy" or "sell" on that topic, and posts a topic of his/her own. The process then repeats. I'll start: Johnny Quinn goes for 850 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
  9. Tulsa probably dodged any baseball questions by touting their men's basketball sucess in the tournament.
  10. Interesting Excerpt:
  11. Will this be part of an attempt to bring the front page of the board back; before it got hacked?
  12. There are no other choices. This team will rise and fall with his sucess; until other players prove that they can be game changers. I hope like hell someone on the coaching staff figured out a conditioning program for him. He has NFL talent written all over him, and right now he has the biggest potential to change a game with every play he participates in. With that being said, Jamario is playing the next two seasons for a paycheck. It will take to years (24 games) to overcome the deficiencies of teh Sun Belt in the eyes of the scouts. And I don't think I am the only perosn to think that. And with this in mind I think he will set his sights on the 2,000 yard mark.
  13. You missed the point. He commented on durability, and you commented on performance. None of us question his ability, its his ability to start all 11 games. Look at how many games he missed in 2004, with a hammy issue. And that same hammy last year. I am going to hope like hell that FF is right, and that Jamario has been taught the right conditioning techniques (we have a strenght and conditioning coach right) to last all season.
  14. Yeah, it'll be on Fox Sports Net. There was a thread on this, but I can't seem to find it. I guess it fell off the back end of the board.
  15. Isn't Isaac Thomas going to be a sophomore (recruiting class of 2004)? Or did he get a medical red shirt to account for last year? Will Glass have enough size to contribute at the center position? And I expect that Tim Patton to contribute from the get go.
  16. No, getting out-recruited by K-State sucks. And that's where our Qb went. We had a scholarship for a Qb that we had been recruiting for a long time. And the kid up and decided to head to K-State (who also recruited a big time QB stud). Just because a kid signed with another school doesn't mean we got out-recruited. And just because he wanted to come to UNT doesn't mean he is necessarily worth the scholarship...especially when we have other needs (like our very thin lines)
  17. He committed to UTEP.
  18. That athletic program has the full financial backing of Nike, as Phil Knight is an alum. I would post pictures of the facilities that he paid for, but its just a little sickening.
  19. That is the benefit of being the best player in the league. The NBA is an organization that has this "star treatment" for its stars. I cannot fathom a game where the rules are different for the upper echelon (except for taxes, and life in general).
  20. Um does anyone know anything new? Did this come to fruition?
  21. I agree with Emmitt. A racially based conspiracy theory is what led Terry to stop driving to the basket, Harris to play out of control, and for the Mavs to be out-coached. Well, it was a good run.
  22. That's why you should own a DVR. That way you can always revert to watching football games at any time. (the downside being that UNT didn't post any televised performances worth not deleting).
  23. So you're not interested in trading for cash? I take it then that you are giving the helmet away?
  24. Here is a post I found on the Aggie message board. I found it, especially the end of it, a very good read; reminded me that all perspectives are relative:
  25. I don't care what the coach called me, as long as he disassembles SMU; and wins games. I would prefer that he call SMU, or people associated with SMU, f**ers also. But that's really an option.
