  1. That's only 91 cents per pass attempt, a pretty good value.
  2. Just please, no more eagle screaming noises. My ears are still bleeding from trying to access the MG Premium site.
  3. So are any of yall with questions going to email for the chat?
  4. First: If RV can suceed selling pizzas, then he should have the business skills to survive in anything he tries. He was the most qualified candidate at the time. Would you rather have an assistant AD from a big time pogram to show us how to do things? We tried that, his name is Craig Helwig. Second: On a macro scale: the program is moving up. Cerebrus is right about all the facilities improvements. This year will be the barometer as to whether the program has stalled out. And I suspec that a stagnation point will not be tolerated.
  5. A couple of thoughts (remove the post if ya need to): 1. Pass Rush: I dare someone to watch how opponents block our D-Line, I suspect that folks block our D-line straight up; allowing 1-2 O-lineman to remain free to block linebackers. 2. I hear football tacticians on TV speak all the time about the pass out to the running equals a running play in a lot of offenses. It serves to spread the defense, while getting the RB around the corner. 3. All those kids red shirting better be awfully good next year, since we aren't burning any shirts. 4. If a walk-on is playing on the O-line, then where in the hell is Ajanji Banks? Is backing up Lineberry soo important that Banks can't see the playing field? 5. As the year progresses, and if possible, please speak to the feel of the program. Do the losses feel any different around the athletic department; or are these losses being taken differently than OOC losses in the past. Great podcast again.
  6. Why don't you ask him:
  7. I simply don't know where to start. Though you did get one right: the hiring of Leee Jackson. Personally I was hoping that UNT would hire Dick Armey; who at the time could have been the most powerful man this side of the president. Rumor had it that the faculty was scared as Armey wasn't too thrilled about the concept of tenuring profs; and intended to clean some of the dead wood out of UNT.
  8. For a second there I thought yall had talked one of those responsible for saturady to speak directly to the fans. I'll take what I can get.
  9. I remember that. The only difference is that Yahoo Sports will not drop this story. The rest of the media loves the USC/Notre Dames too much to write these. That's why I said that I hope Yahoo Sports doesn't let up.
  10. Yes, Branch was pummeled several times that season on kick-offs. MTSU did it several times illegally. Oh, and note that after we went the to the first NO Bowl to represent the Sunbelt, the MUTS went ahead and put their conference championship on the following media guide (because technically they were co-champions with us). Every year under Coach Andy they were picked as the team to knock us off (with Rashard Lee, the Qb Calico, and other very talented players).
  11. Our schedule ranking must have increased with the addition of Tulsa.
  12. I think a big difference is that OU at least gave the illusion of doing the right thing by kicking Bomar off the team. When fronted with the Dwayne Jarrett thing, and now the Reggie Bush deal, Pete Carroll has chosen to do nothing. Sending a message that absolutely nothing went wrong, or that they don't care. Jarret admitted to wrong doing, so it must be that thye don't care. I really hope that Yahoo Sports doesn't let this go. I want to see the NCAA forced to deal with one of their darling children.
  13. And then waking up to realize that you still live in Nebraska.
  14. Source? During the radio broadcast, Dunham commented that it was a Sunbelt crew.
  15. I am not being cynical, just wanted to post what I thought was very encouraging, and that is that we have the makings of a very special defense on our hands. And that secondary is very young. And they will only get better when some reinforcements arrive on the D-line. It looks like we have found a player on Colt Mahan, and the tandem of Holman/Nwigwe will be pretty good.
  16. TAMU is up ob only 28-21 in the thrid quarter. Lots of suicide pacts being arranged over on texags.com, stop by..it'll make you feel a little better.
  17. That's not what BYU said.
  18. I love me some Special-K.
  19. try the kntu broadcast.
  20. Intercepted by Blake Burress.
  21. Just checked both participation reports, and didn't see Banks' anem anywhere? Is this right I thought he was fighting his way into the starting O-line.
  22. I have found this pattern: There are 3-4 "stud" type players targeted every year. These would be the Jamarios, Roy Covington, the Missouri Qb, the Missouri lineman from the previous year, and the D-lineman from McKinney who went to TCU. I think our success will lie in the ability to get more of these type kids to come to campus. Yes, I do believe in the stealth recruiting theory. I honestly can't answer why a recruit would buy into it; dunno. I do believe that DD wants a certain kind of player: team oriented, with a great work ethic who will keep his nose clean. I think our players stay out of trouble better than a lot of schools because of this.
  23. It can happen to us. DD has proven he can find a gem that has truly overlooked. I remember reading somewhere that some of the directional Louisianna's actually base some of their recruiting on who DD is looking at. No, and no. Do you remember the article comparing Adrian Peterson and Jamario Thomas? It made mention that DD did try and recruit Peterson, but received a postacrd in the mail saying No thank you. Do you remember the article 6 months ago that mentioned that we are heavy after some of the South Grand Prairie lineman? Just because DD doesn't report recruiting to the fans doesn't mean it doesn't happen. That's not very exciting for the fans, but its something that we have to live with.
