  1. Actually its the top 12 quarterbacks in the country. Dunno why they haven't renamed it.
  2. And for some reason, Grandpa Urine paid his bail. Weird
  3. If you look at the last several years at SLC all the quarterbacks were very similar. I would think the player on the roster most like these quarterbacks would be Meager or Wilson.
  4. Check your ISP, they may have disconnected your internet for a few days. That's the only way I can figure you would have missed all the stories (most of which have been linked here).
  5. Yes, they could red-shirt him for the 2007 season. As he would have to sit out.
  6. Does anyone know what tradition is? It's when you have something, and stick with it. There are plenty of sports uniforms out there that suck, but you have to admire the tradition that accompanies that. I, for one, am not a fan of the Michigan helmets. But I really think its cool that their helmets have been that way for a long, long time. That's what traditions are, and that's what UNT is missing. Changing every 9 months is really what's bush league.
  7. I you think about it, UNT football has been in the news almost constantly for the last 8 weeks (firing DD, Mac's publicity stunt, hiring TD). That's a lot of free marketing.
  8. How about a 10 million dollar athletic facility? How about a new, upbeat coach to sell the program? You sure did write us off quick on landing Snead. Boy howdy that's some school spirit.
  9. He's saying that if Riley is really good is will be of utmost importance to sign him. If he's not very good, then it will make UNT look bad and he should go to SAF or TSU. Its a very sneaky way to talk out of both sides of your mouth, and always be right. A very clever technique indeed.
  10. That's not true. DD even had clauses in his contract that would have paid him for every week UNT was ranked in the top 25.
  11. When you see aggies give the "horns down" symbol, do you think its because they don't know any better? NO. They do it as a kick in the crotch to UT. I think a lot of folks feel that calling us NTSU is like flashing horns down to UT. For some reason some folks feel we are very small time, and calling us that justifies in their mind. $MU does it becuase they are more of our rival than they want to admit.
  12. Good to see the faculty paying attention.
  13. I think the real measurable impact of TD will be the attendance of the last home game of the season. Then we'll be able to tell what kind of difference, if any, TD made.
  14. With a little luck, the first home game will be Western Kentucky. Then the MAC team after returning from Arkansas. It could take a few games to acclimatize everyone to this new fangled "forward pass."
  15. I saw quite a bit of that stuff in the 97-99 range, under the Helwig regime. I saw it start to disappear when RV arrived.
  16. The aggies speculate on who will replace TD at SLC: linky. Hilarity ensues.
  17. Isn't this one of those polls they asked us not to post right now..as they are having trouble with the board?
  18. um, not really. That is the return trip in a home & home. You were kidding, right?
  19. Me too, but they cost upwards of 2 million per season. So we are gonna have to take a little more risk to get a bigger reward.
  20. OU will be a drastically different team next year. One all-world running back and one Qb should set them team back.
  21. Because there was will, they found a way.
  22. No, there are at least two or three dozen 4-year olds on this page. they are easy to identify, as they usually have more than 1,000 posts.
  23. I will be flying in from California, and will have to pass through Denton (to spend a paycheck on "Son of Worm" clothing). Is the Flying Tomato still open (it will always be the Flying Tomato in my heart)?
  24. The BOR approval amount is $500k for the contract. That doesn't necessarily mean will be paying someone $500k per year. Nonetheless, this does mean that we should be very close.
  25. How would Harbough not make your top three there; if not the front runner by that criteria?
