I will state my suggestion again, and you can tell me how I am a bad fan: Gather all of the currently organized groups, and see how to best coordinate them before try starting a 12th organization. Maybe try and get everyone to meet after watching a Saturday football practice. What is wrong with that idea? I am not going to sign anybody up, but I bet it wouldn't take much arguing to get a couple of the posters to organize something like this. Might even be a good opportunity to make sure that DD-era brisket will work in this new TD-era. So who's in?

Everyone: Welcome to the world of college recruiting. I know its a little weird, knowing about a potential recruit a full year before signing day. These recruits are 17 and 18 year old kids. They are going to take trips to other schools. Do not take this personally. Also, it might not be in our best interest if we bag on said kid for taking a trip to another school (as parents and kids do have internet access, and the word of GMG is getting out there). I am not saying that you can't post your opinion on something. But what I am saying is that sometimes it is best to temper that opinion. And finally, who in the hell is UNT to turn away football players? Is it becuase of our bowl success last season? Because of our BCS ranking? We had 9 losses last year!

Maybe the problem is that UNT just hasn't given them a lot to talk about. Hopefully TD will instill an ass-kickin' type attitude on that football team; so give folks somethign to talk about. And hopefully that attitude will spread around the athletic department (ahum, JJ). (and to be fair, The Ticket gave the TD hiring plenty of air time).

I suspect that Golmore will stay at DE, where he can rush the passer. Since Rexrode is a converted RB, I am gonna suspect that they tried to convert him to a DE. An article was posted some time ago that predicted moving Mendoza to DE. I thought that makes sense given our depth at LB (surplus) and depth at DE (thin). That would also help supplement depth, should any DEs get moved to DT. I don't think Burruss will weigh enough to clog the middle (DT).

UT has gotten in the habit of finisihg up their recruitng class by the time 2-a-days rolls aorund. I suspect that TD will start soon. I also predict that we will see comittments come as a result of the summer camp at UNT.

An offer from a BCS school is the easiest way.

You never know. Everyone in Austin thought Colt McCoy was just a placeholder until Jevan Snead got his feet under him....you never really know what physical/mental/quarterback trait will allow a quarterback to suceed at the college level.

The TD press conference had comments about the qualities TD wants in a QB: quick release, and good decision making. So the question comes down to; which of the 4 has those 2 qualities? That's probably where Meager has the best chance. And the slow release is probably what gives Phillips the worst chance.

Houston Nutt's line is probably busy right now, with all the Arkansas players using it to call USC (Mustain being the latest).

I hope they bring him on board to develop their quarterbacks.
