Having gone through MGR withdrawals; I would say that was some pretty well spent money.

I saw this on Texags, and thought maybe we could talk TD into doing something similar over here.

I guess I noticed that FFR was the only one who has a UNT degree; and that is what made him different. I also noticed that Dickenson was the only one from the Hurley/Helwig era; I just naturally assumed that's what everyone was pointing to. Alumni are every bit as important (if not more) as those others who spoke. Their collegiate loyalty is subject to change as they change employers. Those with UNT degrees will bleed green for life.

The real problem with Ford Stadium is that is has a mystique that produces a false sense of entitlement. This aura also produces a sense of economic snobbery (see SMU bake sale). We get a stadium like that, and the next you know FFR will have sold his truck for an Audi or something.....and yall tailagaters will forgo beer and start sipping chardonnay before the game.....

Well, with 5 quarterbacks on the roster this summer (including Vizza); we do have a small village of quarterbacks.

I've only been a UNT fan for the last 10 or so years. Can some explain to me what a "forward pass" is? I am just not real familiar with this. It sounds very, very exciting. Is it related to a QB draw o 3rd and 25?

I'm just hoping he doesn't succumb to the Curse of the Oil Bowl. The Curse of the Oil Bowl is when GMG board members go to Wichita Falls to watch UNT recruits and then report to the board. Ike Thomas got real bad heat stroke. Tim Patton chose not to attend UNT.

At this point, many people say the greatest thing Fran ever did was sign Tomlinson. Beyond that, he doesn't have a lot. Especially when you factor in the Alabama incident. And IMHO, anyone who doesn't realize that you doesn't understand college football (see, I can be condescending too).

Fran is paid as a top ten coach. He has had top ten recruiting classes. What does all that translate to? Big XII titles? Bowl wins? No, and no (and they have been thoroughly disassembled in their last 2 bowl games).

Most of the Eukanuba (at least the variety we get) doesn't have wheat gluten...that's actually why we buy it.
